EASY to avoid any overflow problem -it's a good coffee maker!
If you are having an "overflow" problem when making larger amounts (8-14 cups), simply
--> PUT A PAPER FILTER INSIDE THE GOLD BASKET. <--
That's all you need to do!

Very pleased with this machine
I replaced a Krups KM1000 Stainless Steel 10-Cup Coffee Maker that I had for less than 6 months with this KitchenAid and I am extremely satisfied with the switch. Bad right from the start
I paid a little extra to get a better coffee maker (the KitchenAid cost $100) but the first time I used it, it leaked all over my counter and the "clean" light went on. This piece of junk is going back and I won't give this company a second chance. Read full review »
Nice to look at but coffee is cold
Our coffee maker died just before Christmas so we purchased this coffee maker because of the nice looks and the name. We have yet to have a hot cup of coffee from the thermal container. Replaced after 22 days
We loved this unit...until it failed. We are returning the KCM534 after 22 days because it repeatedly displays err2 or err3 on the digital display. Don't wast your money
This could be a really nice coffee maker... if only it would last. I just went through my third one. First one lasted 6 mo. before exhibiting intermittent Err 2 failures and then it finally bit it.
