Pros Love the way it cooks and the way this product looks.
Cons Issues with venilation, the lid, and spokes off the rack.

I chose the Brinkman Smoke n' Grill 810-5301-C Charcoal for many reasons. I had one of these before and enjoyed it. I hate heating my house up in the summer with the use of my oven. Grilliing or smoking outdoors is a great way for me to eliminate the use of my oven.

Cons Small Grill Space

If your looking for a small grill, this is for you. This little smoker puffs out the smoke like nothing I've ever seen. I have used these for years and am nver disappointed. You can smoke, grill, slow cook and even make jerky! Great design, great product! Read full review »

My husband pined for a smoker for almost a decade, but the high prices always scared him off. So when we found this cute little dual smoker/grill on sale at the local hardware store, we picked it right up.

Getting home, my husband immediately began to assemble it. Because my husband... Read full review »

Not worth the wasted time

Pros The only pro about it is it was cheap.
Cons Poor Quality and Customer Service
Recommended it? No

This smoker is a piece of junk.  When we put it together nothing fit.  We had to bend everything to get it to work.  When I tried to use it, I did everything according to directions.  When I went out to check on it, my coals were out.  There was a small hole in the water pan and all of the water... Pros Cooks well once you learn how to use them, and they are cheap.
Cons They are cheap and don't last.
Recommended it? Yes

I have gone through 3 of these in the past 12 years.
They work pretty good but are basically the *Bic Lighter* of grills as they are disposable.
I have yet to pay over $40 for one, if they go over that I doubt that I would buy one because I know they are only good for about 3-4 years tops and... Read full review »

Pros Lightweight, easy to assemble, very affordable.
Cons The door on the side isn't the easiest for accessing the charcoal pan.

This is my first foray into smoking in my own backyard. I've used more expensive units that my friends and family own, but, for the price, I don't think that you can beat the Brinkman. A great unit at a fantastic price. On the advice of several websites, I drilled some holes in the bottom bowl to... Read full review »

Having to host a cookout for the almost-in-laws in a few weeks, I was purchasing parts to turn a steel trash-can into a smoker, when I realized that the total came to twice as much as the Brinkmann Smoke 'n' Grill, which could at the time be bought on sale at Wal-Mart for $28.88. I returned all of... Read full review »

Pros CHEAP!! Easy to operate, great end-result.
Cons Hard to get to the charcoal pan to add more when needed.

I was very impressed with this purchase. I read some reviews online, some flattering, some not-so-much. But I figured for 40-50 bucks, you really can't go wrong. I actually found it for $28.98 at my local Walmart. And it was well worth the purchase price!

I am an avid griller but had never... Read full review »

I purchased the Brinkmann Smoke 'n Grill Double Charcoal grill this past summer.
I kept hearing all of these different people talking about how much they loved smoking food at home. I had to give it a try and you know what, it is fun to do! There's just something good about it. I remember my... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use for a beginner smoker, easy to store when not in use.
Cons Water bowl, lower rack and charcoal pan hard to access, vauge temp guage.

I have had this smoker for quite a while now and am quite happy with it. I have smoke meat cuts, turkeys and other items with great success. You can put quite a bit of food inside it. I also monitor my meat temp with a digital thermometer so that I don't have to lift the lid causing significant... Read full review »

PURCHASE: I had first gotten interested in smoking meat when a friend had given me a smoked chicken. That bird was so good I thought I would like to try it myself. So, after doing a little research, I decided to purchase a Brinkman. Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World sells the Brinkman with their name on... Read full review »

Handyman's Special Smoker - some modification required

bydevlyn76 Aug 4, 2003

Pros Inexpensive way to start smoke cooking foods
Cons Requires modifications to work well as a smoker

I purchased this unit when I was a bit low on cash but was also getting into smoking foods. Essentially it's a very inexpensive bullet type water smoker. Charcoal provides the heat for cooking, and wood chips or chunks provide smoke for flavor. A water pan is used to keep the hot air, and thus your... Read full review »

I purchased this Brinkmann smoker at Ames Dept. store two years ago for $29.95 and I have been very happy with it for barbequing, but not as a smoker.

The smoker has three levels for cooking. The top level (coals very close to cooking grid) is for searing food like steaks and fish. The... Read full review »
