A great laptop, still going strong to date.
- Great price.
- Good power.
- Keyboard feels great.
- Lightweight/convenient.
- Gets a little hot.
- I'd like a bigger screen (more $)
The Bottom Line:
It's great for a college student, and I've never had problems with it.
I've had this laptop for about two years now, and it hasn't failed me yet. One of the best parts about it is it's price! When I bought it, it was a little more expensive, but at this price I can't see any reason not to get it. Nothing is more exciting than a great deal!
In terms of power, it gets everything I need done. It is a great laptop for a college student (being one myself, I can certainly testify to that). It is not too large and not too small, and it has the ability to do recreational things. I can watch HD television shows and movies, and it runs every game I've thrown at it (although I'm by no means a "hardcore gamer").
I've noticed that when I have a lot of things open (and often I will hook my laptop up to a second monitor) it does get a little hot, but that has never become an issue. Windows 7 allows you to change the fan speed and CPU speed according to your preference/usage, so the problem is solved.
Also, one of the best parts about this laptop is the keyboard. It is the perfect combination between soft and clicky, and it definitely allows me (an already 100wpm typer) to type even faster at times. This laptop is a great deal, and a great gift or present for a college student.
