Pros Great for early teenage boys...
Cons ... not so great for the rest of us!
Recommended it? No

StormBreaker is the book of a movie that I quite liked the look of but never quite got round to seeing. Written by Anthony Horowitz, it is a teenage spy novel - James Bond as a 14 year-old, if you like - and is written very much with its target audience - early teenage boys - very clearly in mind... Pros Exciting, quick read for young boys
Cons Too simplistic for anyone over 14
Recommended it? No

As I was browsing through the "just released" section at Barnes and Noble, I came across the most recent "Alex Rider" novel from Anthony Horowitz. I noticed that the book was the 6th or 7th book in the series and I never like to jump into the middle of a series.

When I couldn't find the... Read full review »

Pros The first novel in THE singlular most exciting series I've ever read
Cons Can Alex Rider really do all those things?
Recommended it? Yes

Stormbreaker is a new whiz-kid kind of computer that Herod Sayle wants to put into every English school in the country. M16 (you know, James Bond's world) is supportive of the effort, but officials want the skinny on Sayle just in case he is not the philanthropist he seems to be. Ian Rider, an M16... This is an audio book consisting of 4 CD's and the approx running time is 4 hours 55 minutes. The 4 CD's are enclosed in one box, making it very handy to carry in the car.

The CD's were bought in WH Smith on an offer for Buy 3 for 2, so I am not sure of the exact price, the CD's can still... Read full review »

Well, as a teenager I've always dreamed to be a superspy. I've never thought that this book made me visualize it. When I saw it in the bookstore, it caught my attention that I've spent my remaining money for it. The book is about a teen who doesn't know that his uncle Ian Rider is MI6 agent and was... Pros A teenager actually kills a grown man!!! I think that explains it all!!!
Cons So popular that you might need to reserve or buy it online
Recommended it? Yes

An everyday kid gets easily bored by reading boring stories, and even if it as a shooting adventure one, the one who kills people is always an adult. I know this, I AM a 13 year old boy. I always wanted to read a story with the main character, a teenage boy, who somehow is allowed to kill people. I... Read full review »
