A Great Family Film All the Way
Family is an important virtue that holds true both in real life, and in the fictional world of movies. A good example of using family as the moral of the story is 1968s comedy “Yours, Mine and Ours”. Based on a real life story, tells the story of a man and a woman who love each other,... Read full review »
Fun family movie!
This original version is much better than the remake (they always are!) Funny feel-good movie that is appropriate to watch with your kids. Nothing bad, scary, violent, just wholesome family fun. I kinda want to join their family! Read full review »
Mine! Mine! Mine!
A sweet story about two large families coming together. Lucy, as always, is steller in her performance! Family requires selfless acts and teamwork, and the birdsly/north clan does it better than most. Navy life and a surprise pregnancy keep the show interesting and funny. Enjoy it with your family... Yours, Mine and Ours is a comedy that can stand the test of time. This movie originally released in 1968 with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda is still as funny today as it was back then.

Frank has ten children and Helen has eight. The result is a house of eighteen children. The movie plays out as the... Read full review »
Accept No Substitutes; The Original Remains The Best
This stodgey old classic still packs a whole lot of punch, turning cartwheels around the remake and reminding us that talent - in front of the camera, as well as behind it - is more important than "production values." This is the film whose '68 release made the 1969 debut of The Brady Bunch... Read full review »
The Beardsleys... Making the Brady Bunch Look Like Under-Achievers
Once upon a time, a lovely widow met a handsome widower and despite the fact they had large families separately, they got married. Now I'll bet some of the people reading this are humming The Brady Bunch theme, but you're wrong. This is the "based on the true story" of the Beardsleys as outlined in... Read full review »
Make Yours, Mine, and Ours Yours
Sometimes I'm surprised that Hubby and I have only one Monkey Girl and are happy with that number. Growing up my favorite books were The Family Nobody Wanted and Cheaper by the Dozen. My favorite movie from age seven on up was Yours, Mine, and Ours./ A theme of huge families seem to run through all... Read full review »
Yours, Mine and Ours: A Winner in Every Way
I found Yours, Mine and Ours on television today and was thrilled. This is a movie I used to adore, but I hadn't seen it in ages. I am glad to report that many years later, it is better than I remember it.
Mrs. North (Lucille Ball) and Mr. Beardsley (Henry Fonda) are both recently...

Great Comedy Classic!
I first saw this on regular TV and have watched it many times on video. I Love Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, and when I read the description of the movie, I knew that I wanted to see it. I knew that it would be funny, but I didn't realize how hilarious it would be. I love this kind of humor ..... Read full review »

This is a great movie that can serve as a Christmas classic but also as a pick-me-up during the rest of the year.

Yours Mine & Ours [VHS]
Predating The Brady Bunch by almost a decade, Yours, Mine, and Ours is a screwball comedy about the ultimate blended family. When the widow Helen North (Lucille Ball) marries the widower Frank Beardsley (Henry Fonda), the two must find a place to house their 18--count 'em, 18!--kids (she had 8, he had 10). Based on a real-life couple, the film details the nuances of everyday life in a house overrun with children. From getting all the kids ready for school to sending off an older son to war, this well-written film is wholesome entertainment that doesn't condescend. Look for the very young Tracy Nelson as Germaine. --Jenny Brown

Yours Mine & Ours [VHS]
Based on a true story and co-starring Van Johnson and Tom Bosley, Yours, Mine And Ours keeps the laughs coming in a clean, wholesome family comedy (Life). This population explosion occurs when widowed Navy nurse Helen North (Ball) meets handsome Naval officer and widower Frank Beardsley (Fonda). They have much in commontoo much in factshehas eight kids and he has ten, and when they tie the knot, anarchy reigns in the Beardsley-North merger. The opposing camps of step-siblings do all they can to sabotage each other and their parents' union. But, through it all, mother lovingly cares for her troops, while father patiently coaches his coming-of-age kids in more delicate matters, and resentment soon gives way to respect and something bigger than anyone could have imagined!
