MFD Faceoff: Xerox vs. Hewlett-Packard
In today's work environment, the distinction between office and home is becoming more and more blurred. You probably find yourself doing a fair amount of "office work" at your private residence, and you've probably wandered the aisles at OfficeMax and considered purchasing a multi-function device... Bargain price for features: UPDATED 11-02
UPDATE: This printer is now used mostly as a copier and fax machine with less actual computer printing now. I added an IBM N17 to the home environment for an incredible $499 and use it as the primary printer. Nonetheless, the Xerox WorkCentre is working fine. The only problem I have noticed is the... The Machine that Got me a Raise
When our office copier uttered its last hiccup, spewed toner, and 'bought the farm', I was assigned to research and purchase a new machine for the office. We're a small office, but we do a fair amount of copying for presentations, research, etc.
After using on-line comparision shopping...

cost of consumables
The cost of consumables in any of these 'inexpensive' copiers is significant. When you buy your first cartridge you will realize that you should have bought something else. (at least 5 cents per copy) This is the same for the Canon, HP, xerox, sharp. If you are copying more than 500 a month you... Read full review »
Flatbed Laser Multifunction in Digital, does it all
This is a good machine for you people who want Laser quality Printing, Digital Scanning and Copying, with a Fax to boot. As soon as you get this machine home and take it out of the box you have a Copier and a Fax by just plugging it in. There are a lot of multifunction machines out there that do... Read full review »
Stay the %$#@ away from this thing
We bought this for a small office that wanted it all. We purchased from CDW online, and it arrived defective - some component that determined copy quality produced nothing but very blurry copies. Xerox shipped another unit, which was dead on arrival. Nothing but an error code in the display and... Read full review »
Don't buy this piece of junk!!
I bought this workcentre xe90fx from Tom Lawlers office supplies in Jackson, TN. I bought a Xerox because of the name and I thought it was a quality product. We have a small need for copies so I thought this one would be perfect. Once I got back to the office about 25 miles away, I set everything... Read full review »
Buy the Brother MFC-9600
I had used several Xerox Laser Copier and Printers in the past. XE 80's and XE 82's. They were great machines, but I wanted to get rid of my ribbon fax machine, and I wanted a document feeder, and a scanner would be nice too.
Printer: This is a very good printer. It prints about 8 pages...

Xerox xe90fx
Purchased unit at OfficeMax a few days ago. Have since tried it to do OCR, printing, copying and faxing. It seems to do all very well and quite easily. Considering the price and how much the unit does it so far seems to be a bargain. I especially like the versatility of being able to use the feeder... Read full review »
Now debatable all-in-one for the price
So many others have written good reviews on this item, I'll keep mine very brief (well, brief for ME, anyway) and to the point. Everything's just about been said that can about this machine.
** NOTE ** Note the "updates" at the end of this review.
THE GOOD
We just...
