Pros Comes with Wii console
Cons Horrible games, aren't fun
Recommended it? No

Wii Sports and Wii Play are the worst games I have every played. Wii Play comes with the Wii, and has 6 games that are unlockable. They are little arcade games that had almost zero thought put into them. The only good thing about them are the game mechanics, however, this does not mean they are... Read full review »

Wii would not like to play Wii Play....

Pros uhhhh it came with a remote? Well, the Pool game is pretty good.
Cons just too many junky games overall.
Recommended it? No

Oh, woe is me. I'm a sucker for a deal, or what looks like a good deal anyway. When getting a Wii, I decided to get another remote that was bundled with the game Wii Play. I paid just over $40, and the cashier at Target had suggested I get it, so I figured I was getting a good deal by getting it... Read full review »

This is kind of a boring game, a good price i guess considering it comes with an additional remote and those are always good to have. Read full review »

The game isn't that great. it's just like an extension of games that come pre-loaded on the wii. pretty boring. i'd rather spend my money on other games. Read full review »

Wii Play Not Necessary

Pros A fairly fun cow racing & fishing game.
Cons The games aren't exciting.
Recommended it? No

My copy of Wii Play came with my Wii, so I was fairly excited to have an extra game disc with my Wii.  The excitement soon ended.  Wii Play is nothing more than a bunch of games that are intended to make you proficient with the controller.  The games aren't exciting, and they left me unsatisfied. ... Pros All games compatible with two players. Another Wii game for the shelf for only $10!
Cons B o r i n g. (except Charge!)

I don't really mean to beat a dead horse into the ground here with yet another lack luster review.  However, looking at my account, I almost give everything a "4" and thought this would be a great opportunity for me to diversity my review ratings.

Perhaps it's your perception or your gaming... Read full review »

Fun minigames, but you buy it for the Wii remote

Pros 9 minigames and a Wii remote, Tanks!, pool, ping pong, and Duck Hunt.
Cons Only 4 of 9 minigames are fun, very little depth.

Wii Play for Nintendo Wii
2 Players, nunchuck(s) recommended for "Tanks!"
9 Minigames and a bonus Wii remote make this a logical purchase for any new Wii owner looking to expand their collection.

I bought this shortly after getting a Wii and was pleasantly surprised with its... Read full review »

WII Play... good at what it's designed for, nothing more...

Pros Free/cheap, gets you used to the WII remote, quite fun for a while...
Cons ... once you're used to the remote there's very little reason to play it...
Recommended it? Yes

WII Play is a game (or rather, set of games) that you'll get free with your Nintendo Wii or very cheap with a new remote (ours cost an extra two quid on top of the remote price). Basically it's a set of small games designed to help you get to grips with using the remote. While the games won't... Read full review »

Wii Play come with Wii Remote

bysheelshah Aug 5, 2008
12 Helpfuls 13 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros multiple games, not too expensive, different games then Wii Sports
Cons controls are hard, not easy for kids to play, doesn't come with a Nunchuk Controller
Recommended it? Yes

The games costs $49.99, and it comes with a Wii Remote with cover (batteries included). Wii Remotes usually cost around $39.99. So you are getting the game for $10. It is has multiple games on it and that is one thing I love about it. The controls are not as easy as Wii Sports. Some of the games... Read full review »

Not bad AND you get a "free" controller

Pros Cute Cheap Fun-ish
Cons Only one skill level Sometimes goofy interface
Recommended it? Yes

Okay, here's the deal---the games are mediocre. Actually, there are a few that are really fun, and the rest are kind of "meh"....but that's just the opinion of my husband and I.

We bought it because we needed another Wii Remote---the remote itself was $29, but you could get WiiSports AND... Read full review »

Pros Not a bad price to keep your kids occupied.
Cons Will not hold an adult's interest very long.

My wife and I purchased a Wii game for our daughter in March. The only problem that we have found out was that it did not come with two controllers. So it was very hard for her to have a lot of fun with this game playing by herself all the time. So we had to invest in another controller. It only... Read full review »

Wii Play Terrible - But At Least You Get a Wii Remote!!

Cons Can get old, not all games are that good

Wii Play is a at its core, a compilation of mini-games. It includes shooting range, find mii, table tennis, pose mii, laser hockey, billiards, fishing, charge, and tanks. It is best played with two people. It is also bundled with a wiimote.

Shooting Range is a game where you control the... Read full review »

Wii Play: Only for the easily amused

bymisskris28 Jun 26, 2008
27 Helpfuls 28 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Uses the Miis, shooting range is fun, helps you learn to use Wiimote
Cons Poor graphics, Pose Mii is awful, all very tedious
Recommended it? No

Since Wii Play costs $50 and comes worth an extra Wiimote that would cost $40 by itself, it's hard to say the game's not worth the purchase. Ten bucks isn't bad for a game, even if it's not very exciting. (If I had to purchase this game on its own, I'd say it isn't worth more than $15.)

Pros Fun for a large group.
Cons Not much to the games and the graphics aren't to good.
Recommended it? Yes

My thought when buying this game was I could buy a Wii controller for $39 or buy this game which comes with and Wii controller for $49. This game is not very good to just sit around all day and play but for 10 bucks its a good game to have around. I like to pull out this game when we are having a... Read full review »

Worth the cost for the extra controller alone!

12 Helpfuls 13 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Five of nine games are fun, Wiimote included
Cons Four of nine games not worth the bytes they occupy
Recommended it? Yes

The short version: Wii Play has some games that are fun for Wii novices, introducing the user to the interface, and comes with a Wii-mote that, when I was in the market, was impossible to find otherwise. For the price (paid around $40) it was definitely worth buying for the spare controller alone!... Read full review »

Wiimote 101

Pros Simple, silly games teach new users how to operate the remote.
Cons Low replay value; games are too short to provide a challenge.

Having finally decided to shell out the cash for a Wii, I knew it wouldn't just involve getting a console and some games. No, there would be additional remotes and nunchuks, charging stations, wheels, guns, guitars, and all kinds of other gadgets to add on. But I definitely needed at least an extra... In a moment of madness I recently went out and acquired a Wii console (what credit crunch?) together with a number of games.
