Pros size
Cons It jams continuously
Recommended it? No

I was looking for a quick and inexpensive solution to hems and small craft projects around the house. I have very little sewing experience and thought this would be my solution.
I was wrong!! The instruction manual stinks there are some dark b&w photos and unclear instructions.
I was... Read full review »

Pros small, lightweight, fits on a desk, and is cheap
Cons jams up, needle unthreads a lot,and it's stressful and not worth the money
Recommended it? No

I cannot express in words how dissatisfied I am with this product. The Sew Cute Sewing Machine comes nowhere near to what wonderful things it says on the box. Let me tell you, spend the money on a nice dinner instead- it will be a lot less hassle and a whole lot better. When using my "machine" the... Read full review »

what can u do with a broken sew cute?

Pros cute
Cons not worth a dime
Recommended it? No

An awful purchase. Bought it for one easy project, straight hems, no big deal. Jams every four inches. Broke three needles. Bobbin housing moved, swerved, jumped, and finally broke. Incredibly frustrating experience. The pre-thread thread was fraying, too. When you buy cheap, you get cheap... Read full review »

It's Crap

Pros It's cute
Cons Problem w/needles breaking. The tension is a pain to get just right. Loud. Doesn't...

That's exactly what I think it is. I could never get it to work without the needle jamming into the inside black piece. I broke at least 6 needles before giving up. The needle kept ramming into the black plastic piece on the inside for some reason, which resulted in that breaking as well. It took... Read full review »

Not sure why they call this a "sewing" machine

Pros has good intentions.
Cons lives up to none of them.
Recommended it? No

Sew, it does not! It is "cute" however.

The real problem with this machine is that it doesn't sew. It sticks and jams and even when it does run smoothly, the thread doesn't catch and lock- just needle holes in my nice fabric. I am an experienced seamstress with regular machines, but... Read full review »

Not For Beginners But Works Well

Pros Highly portable, can run on batteries, uses generic bobins, great inner works.
Cons Tension a little difficult to get right, may be tedious and tempermental for a beginner.
Recommended it? Yes

Not a starter machine. I have sewn Halloween costumes and dresses on this little machine, I have even inserted zippers. It works just fine for me, but after some trials. This takes some guessing by an experienced sewer. You must stop and turn the fabric at the beginning and end to back tack, there... Read full review »

Not a sewing machine

Pros Color, it is cute.
Cons noisy, not worth the money.
Recommended it? No

I thought it was cute, which it is, but it does not work correctly. The tension is hard to keep correct. It is loud. When running on batteries, it does not work for long and I needed to change batteries often. Read full review »

Good starter machine

Pros Portable, reliable, easy to store, has a bobbin winder
Cons Can't tolerate heavy materials, only one speed
Recommended it? Yes

The Sew Cute is pretty much what it advertises. It is a portable machine that does a basic locking stitch and is good for hemming or any other project that doesn't require a complicated stitch or have heavy material.

I was given the Sew Cute as a gift because I don't have a house and will... Read full review »
