Pros Saves money, water, electricity, time, clothes, looks great!
Cons I did have to actually BUY it.
Recommended it? Yes

Warning: long post. I hope you think it's worthwhile, though. I didn't want to do a drive-by post.

Simply stated, this machine is fantastic. First, a quick disclaimer: I am an appliance salesman. I am very picky about what I buy for myself, because I know what's out there, and I talk with... Read full review »

Beautiful and functional Washer.

Pros Look and Design.
Variety of cycles.
Cleans itself if you use that...
Cons Occasional water left in dispenser.
Not big enough for a VERY large comforter.
Recommended it? Yes

I like this Whirlpool Washer. It is so pretty and modern looking. It does take 50 mins for an average cycle but the clothes come out much drier than from a regular top loader. It is also very quiet, so much so I can hardly hear it when I am ten feet away.

It has a TON of cycles and even... Read full review »

Does Not Rinse Thoroughly

Pros Gets clothes clean.
Cons Rinse cycle does NOT get detergent out AT ALL.
Recommended it? No

I have owned this washer for 6 months. While it does a great job of cleaning the clothes, it does not rinse them. I have soft water and therefore use only 1/4 of the recommended amount of HE detergent.

The washer is designed to use so little water in the rinse cycle that the detergent... Read full review »

Pros It looks pretty...
Cons 1) Whirlpool will not stand behind their product. 2) It doesn't work correctly.
Recommended it? No

Whirlpool does not stand behind its product.

This $1000+ machine of mine has had hundreds of dollars in repairs which I can provide proof of, and still does not work right. They will not be accountable for their product, they have three times lost their data on me to reimburse for the... Read full review »

AFTER ALMOST A YEAR OF USE-STILL GOOD

Pros Very efficient good machine, easy to use.
Cons Washer and Dryer too short without $200 pedestals.
Recommended it? Yes

This will be an express review because it is either that or no review at all, since I simply do not have the time. I bought this washer on January 13, 2006 along with the 9250 Dryer as a Whirlpool Duet set. The washer has worked perfectly for me ever since, and is in use perhaps 3 to 5 times a... Pros 14 programs, internal heater, quiet, savings in water & utility costs & detergent use.
Cons Cost. That is all I can think of.
Recommended it? Yes

I just had my Whirlpool WFW9400S (white color) delivered today, Sept 27, 2007. Great washer!! No issues or problems. Easy to level and minimal vibration. Rock steady. Very nice to have 14 different washing programs. Today after getting it nicely leveled, I washed 7 loads of laundry. Great cleaning... Read full review »

Pros Never get a chance to find out!
Cons Broken before even in use.
Recommended it? No

After my experience with the Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Loader washer (review on the model) died after 6 years (cost $1200.00 in August, 2001). I vigorously researched on many brands of top loader and front loader washers and finally decided on this particular model with only 3 reviews on the... Read full review »

Pros Many wash cycles, washes well, clothes are not twisted, large capacity, Cool...
Cons water drips on the floor when you open the door
Recommended it? Yes

We purchased the Whirlpool WFW9400S in Bisque/Biscuit. We were replacing another Whirlpool washer/dryer in the same color but a top loader. When we received the machines we noticed that the washer was slightly darker in color than the dryer. Sitting in the laundry room it was even more apparent... Read full review »

Good Job

byreadneck Jun 27, 2008

Pros Good washing, quiet, seems to be well balanced on final fast spin.
Cons Usually requires extra rinse cycle to extract all the soap.
Recommended it? Yes

We have had the set for about a year now. No problems so far. It does a good job washing, with less soap than our previous agitator type machine before and less than the soap people recommend. It does require a new "ht" type soap, and you can not use any powder type pre/post additives. Initially... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, tons of options, quiet, all around wonderful experience! I love it!
Cons Nothing yet.
Recommended it? Yes

I did a ton of research and comparison shopped for almost a month before we bought this machine (with matching dryer) in the color Diamond Dust; which is like a shimmery silver. I was extremely picky about what I wanted in options and it had to be Energy Star etc... All roads kept leading me back... Read full review »
