Just don't use the full size tank!

byepinions1234q Mar 6, 2006
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros cooks even, fits a lot of food in a small space
Cons Doesn't work with the full size adapter hose and propane tank
Recommended it? No

The grill works great as long as you use the small, expensive and disposable propane tanks. As I planned to use the Q as my primary grill around the house, I purchased the accessory hose that allows you to attach a full size propane tank to the grill. What a hassle it has been! When I try to use it... Read full review »

Little Grill Wonder

bydonnaschade Jul 5, 2005
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Great Portability
Cons tanks don't last more than 1.5 hours.
Recommended it? Yes

Porcelain coated cast iron is great for heat retention (although is heavy!) Although works best on direct cooking, indirect can be done by turning the temp down to Med-Low. I took mine camping and also use it outside on our patio. Have a family of 6 people...works great for us! Read full review »

Fix for 16 oz lp to work!, & add a thermometer!

bybuffettfan Sep 22, 2007
7 Helpfuls 8 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Weber quality, sturdy and great replacement for the wonderful "go anywhere"...
Cons Lp bottle size (but easily fixed) Q100/120 comes with no thermometer
Recommended it? Yes

After receiving my Q120 I had the lp bottle problem fixed in about 3 mins. Just unscrew the top ring bracket screw and release it from the grill. (you can put the screw back into the hole for safe keeping) The lp bracket (chrome ring thing) will now flex open enough to screw a regular camp lp... Read full review »

Finally, the perfect grill for me!

byhjkuhn64 Feb 11, 2007

Pros Small, sturdy, versatile, reliable grill.
Cons I can't think of anything negative to write. I wish I had gotten it sooner!
Recommended it? Yes

I've had my Weber Q200 for less than a week. I've used it every day: fajitas (beef and chicken), sausage, buffalo burgers, even bacon! This is a solid performer. I usually cook for just my husband and me, but this is plenty big enough to prepare a yummy meal for us and several of our friends.

Weber Q as Stationary grill

bymshaver Apr 26, 2006
7 Helpfuls 8 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? 1 Comment
Pros attractive appearance, good size for just a couple people.
Cons Turning on gas a slow process. Rain gets into drip pan. Starter inconsistent.
Recommended it? No

I bought the Weber Q and the better stationary stand to use it as my only grill---not a portable. The hose for a 20# tank comes with the stand. The grill has a very attractive design and is a perfect size for just a couple people. However it has a couple shortcomings. When used with a 20# tank, it... Read full review »

Weber Q in Australia

bysnaerff Oct 18, 2007
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Quality construction, kettle taste without the hassles and lengthy wait, takes up less...
Cons Expensive (but you get what you pay for), smaller cook area (but twice as fast).
Recommended it? Yes

Australians love our barbeques, but the enormous 4 burner types generally available are both inefficient and short-lived. Kettles produce the best flavour by far, but charcoal is a real pain for most families.

Enter the Weber Q200.

This wonderful LPG machine (propane in the US)... Read full review »

Pros It ignites quickly and evenly every time for perfect grilling.
Cons I don't have any cons to list!
Recommended it? Yes

This grill is fantastic! I assembled on the stand within an hour and it lit beautifully on the very first push of the ignition button. I have it hooked up to the large propane tank and it works like a charm every time. It heats quickly and evenly for perfect grilling. I highly recommend this... Read full review »

Lots of Grill for the Buck

Pros High quality of manufacture, outstanding performance, even cooking, easy assembly,...

Recommended it? Yes

At first I was hesitant to spend $180 for the Weber Q because the price seemed somewhat high for a portable. (It's actually luggable rather than portable, but that's a quibble.) Now I'm glad I made the decision. The design and manufacturing quality are absolutely tops, and the enameled cast-iron... Read full review »

Turkey on the Q!

bysweetpt Nov 6, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Space saver; great job of cooking!
Cons Cart seems a little flimsy when holding a full propane tank.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the 220 of this model, and it has worked great through the summer on brats, burgers, steaks and chicken. I was wondering about doing a full turkey, and made a plan that turned out great. I got a 12 lb. fresh turkey, which I think would be the maximum size the 220 Q could handle. I stuffed... Read full review »

Q 100 a disappointment to me

bygjfromny Aug 1, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Nice patio size and good for a small family.
Cons Price, workmanship. Should have purchased a Walmart special for $59.99.
Recommended it? No

I chose the Q100 because I'm a widowed senior, who has to assemble purchases herself. After reading reviews, I felt this was the best grill for me. After spending more money than its worth, (grill, cart, S&H), I finally got the whole thing together and waalaa, nothing. I called Weber and have to... Read full review »

Weber Q 200 Portable Propane Grill, Silver Series

Introducing the new Weber Q: a propane gas grill hybrid capable of pulling double-duty as a fully functioning backyard grill and a compact portable gas grill. Light and nimble, the Q pairs a high performance cooking system with tuck-away tables and easy-grip handles to form a powerful yet portable gas grill. Use Q on your deck, balcony, or patio like you would a standard gas grill. Or fold in the tables and carry it to the park for a picnic or take it to the stadium for tailgating-- anyplace your hunger for grilled food might strike. Wherever you land, Q won't leave you hungry. You can cook up to 10 large strip steaks or 18 burgers and brats on the expansive 280 square-inch porcelain- enameled cast-iron cooking grate. And it's economical, the Q operates on a standard 14.1 ounce propane cylinder (sold separately) for 1.5 hours of continuous grilling. Best of all, the Q comes from America's most trusted brand of barbecue grills, which means it carries Weber DNA: The technology and ingenuity that has made Weber the thinking man's gas grill for nearly two decades.
