Weber-Stephen Products One Touch One-Touch Charcoal Grill

We seem to grill a lot more when we have guest. Everyone likes to spend time at the beach and so by grilling, we can prepare the food (and eat it) all without having to go inside. More time outdoors with less time and heat in the kitchen - all good things in the Summer! Since we have a large family, and an endless stream of guest, we use two Weber One-Touch Gold 22.5 Grills.


ALL ABOUT THE GRILL

First off, it's a Weber so you know it's going to last! Our first one lasted well over 15 years and we expect the same with this one!

A nice bonus to those buying the Grill the night they need to use it -- the Weber One-Touch Gold Grill is so easy to assemble you can have it up and ready in about 15 minutes!

The bowl and lid (and lid vent) are Porcelain-enamel which gives both fire and rust protection. We keep ours covered in the winter but so far, no rust which is something living at the beach in the damp west coast. You have your choice of three three colors -- black, blue and green.

One nice feature is the hinged cooking grate. This makes adding coals fast and clean. Instead of needing to remove the grate, set it down, add the coals and then put it back you can simply flip it up, add the coals and push it back down. The Grill also comes with 2 washable Cooking Grids

It is nice and sturdy with three legs -- two of which are wheeled. We store ours in one of the sheds so it is important that it is mobile - the Weber One Touch Gold is easy to move around but is solid when you are using it.

The cooking area is a nice size -- 22-1/2 inch diameter. It is big enough to grill hot dogs or hamburgers for a group or steaks for 5. The outside measures 38.5 (H) x 27 (W) x 22.5 (D) It weighs 36 pounds but like I mentioned above, with the wheels it is very easy to move around.

There is a small wire tray on the bottom, between the leg tripod. We keep a basket there with hot pads and cooking utensils year round. Then when we roll out the grill in the summer and uncover it, everything is right there. We move the basket up to the table when cooking though so we don't have to keep bending down.

My FAVORITE feature is the ash catcher for really quick and easy clean up! You simply move a lever to open (and close) the bottom vents, allowing the ashes to all fall into catch pan. What could be easier?

We are not big grillers but we do grill 10-15 times a summer and always when we have family or friends over. It is nice to be able to cook dinner outside and use paper plates so that we can spend a lot more time visiting. My sister's family grills A LOT and they have a giant gas grill that I swear my BIL would cry if anything ever happened to it! For them, a gas grill makes sense but for us, the charcoal one works fine and I honestly think the food taste better.

We bought our first Weber One-Touch Gold 22.5 Grill I believe 2 summers ago and the latest one in June. We really need to have two (one in black and one in green) as it makes it easier to cook meat on one and fish or chicken on the other. Besides, now everyone is eating more or less at the same time -- of course unless they want seconds!

We know we can count on the brand, it has a limited 10 year guarantee and great customer support. We actually have nothing bad to say about the Weber One-Touch Gold 22.5 Grill! It always provides even heat so all of the food is cooking the same, the lid fits down perfectly, the vent on the top is easy to open and close, the hinged grate makes adding charcoal easy and clean up is a breeze with the ash catcher! I am giving it a solid 5 stars :-)
