Food slicer by Waring Pro worth a try.
Waring Pro has put out a food slicer model number FS150. This food slicer comes in a big box and there is no assembly. The off and on switch is on the side and easy to access. There is a slice control knob in back of the machine. This allows you to choose how thick you want to cut or how thin. I... Read full review »
quality sliced thin
Why we bought it: We were off shopping and realized that we were paying upward of $2/lb more for sliced meats and cheeses than regular. With a slicer we felt we could save $$ and get better quality lunchmeats. There is just 2 of us and use will be light, so we didn't figure we needed to buy a $200... Read full review »
Good value, works well, funny cleaning though...
Hello!
Ok so I did it. I went to Bed bath and Beyond, used my 20% off coupon and got this baby for $80.
Ever since I saw a Seinfeld episode where Kramer was slicing meats in Jerry's apartment, I always wanted one. Wow, that be nice to make my own roast with my own spices and well doneness...

Slicer died after 4th use.
I bought this slicer to cut up brisket off of my smoker. After the third use it died. I found it difficult to use as the throat is not big enough to cut brisket, or ham.
I'm not sure what slicer to buy next, but it won't be another one of these.

Poor Quality - plastic gears
I bought this slicer in February. Use it about once a week to slice roasts for jerky. Made loud noise two weeks ago when I turned it on. Opened it up, found two teeth on the black plastic gear which turns the blade gear had broken off.
I contacted Waring, was told they would send...

Buyer beware
I owned another brand slicer for 15 years with the only issue was sharpening the blade till a replacement blade could not be found. Bought a Waring FS150 at Costco for about $50. After 3 cycles of cutting roasts the internal gear stripped out. (plastic gears, not metal) Rather than... Read full review »
Good little product for the homemaker

This little meat slicer does the job. Has some heavy duty plastic parts. Stainless steel blade rest of the machine is aluminum. Even though it is not high powerful it cuts through ham fine , cheese and beef.
