AT&T E2562 Horrible Answering System!
I purchased this phone at Bestbuy. It is attractive and sturdy. Sound quality is good. The problem is the answering system. At least half of the incoming messages get cut off in mid message. Few problems
I found this phone at Staples after searching for months. I needed one with a corded handset at the base as well as speakerphone. I also needed a 2 line phone to help me in my business. This one served my needs.

Piece of JUNK!!!
Only buy this phone if you enjoy having your calls cut off with the "incorrect code, please enter remote access code" message we've read about in the other reviews. This is the second one I have had. Excellent Phone
I have had this phone over a year when it first came out and it works perfect. I ordered it online at the hefty price of $200.00. I don't understand any of the problems others have had. Hate this phone!
Counter intuitive, poorly engineered, cuts off my messages, gives the wrong date of message. It is far more complicated than it needs to be and is the worst phone I've ever had. Not what I expected - Part 2
When the power is lost the phone remembers the phonebook but apparently not the date or time of day. So all subsequent messages left on the machine will have the wrong time of day.

Mixed bag on this system
Basically haven't had any of the answering machine issues previously reported (bought this phone in June 05), BUT...none of the handsets will work properly with ear pieces.
