Definitely one to consider, clearly ONE of the best
I have had this monitor since October, 2006. I drove friends nuts looking at different ones and asking endless questions. Great monitor
This monitor has a great picture. Much better than my old CRT and maybe the best 19" around. Very well designed. Not bad at all.
This is a 19 inch LCD of quality. That means that it is not inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. Response time is excellent, it will play fast DVD movies without any artifacting or smearing.

Sent back twice
Bought two of these and one worked great.
The second one had to be returned twice.
The 1st time they had it for two months stating parts were not available. They eventually repaired it and returned it whereupon it worked for another month and went bad again.

Viewsonic VP930b rated #1 for 19" monitors
Finally decided to upgrade my six year old 19" Samsung Syncmaster CRT monitor. After reading a couple reviews (PCWorld and Tomshardware) on 19" monitors, I decided on the VP930b. For $370 at PC-Connection the deal was sealed. For Text rendering, Gaming, and DVDs/Video it was judged the best.
