Absolute garbage! Avoid this product.
I should probably calm down before writing this review, but I won't.
We have a small office with very modest shredding requirements: perhaps 10 to 20 pages a day, give or take a few. Sadly, this shredder is nothing short of horrible.

Good shredder for home
Boy, the reviews on this shredder really do fall at the extremes. I was very surprised at the sharply negative reviews and especially the "exploding shredder" stories -- even poorly made, how in the world does a shredder explode in a fireball?

Watch OUT!!!
After two month of ownership this shredder literally exploded in a ball of fire ... in my face!!!

Horrible design, don't buy, extremely short life
I bought this shredder to replace a very old reliable machine I had used for 8 years. Auto (Mal)function
It does basically what it's supposed to, although it sounds like it's struggling with more than 5 sheets.
The auto function no longer works (it won't turn off). I talked to their customer support people and tried cleaning the "paper dust" off the sensor as instructed to no avail.

Forever Jamming!!
Yes it shreds paper but it is ALWAYS jamming. You cannot take the top off so you have to take out the bin, get down low and remove all the jammed paper before you can continue shredding. It is hard to unjam since the gears are so sharp. Just be sure to remember to unplug it first! Read full review »
Explosion - Be careful
I bought it on Friday, used it on Saturday, and on Monday it exploded with fire and smoke........it even singed my bangs. The top was blown clear off the body of the unit. Definitely Would Buy It Again
We bought this shredder 24 months ago when we got tired of nursing our old shredder along. The old shredder jammed often, was noisy, and didn't cross-cut.
