Pros Vibrant graphics, set in the "SaGa" universe.
Cons Every play mechanic is horribly flawed, instructions are useless, just... bad

Every so often a game comes around that is truly innovative, that breaks all the molds and stereotypes and sets a new standard in its genre. Unlimited SaGa is not one of them. Instead, it's a... Read full review »

Pros Beautiful graphics
Cons Growth system is awkward, control is terrible, weapon degredation, host of others
Recommended it? No

Although Squareis primarily known for the Final Fantasy series in this country, they have been quite successful with another similar series, the Saga series, in Japan. Beginning way back on the Game Boy (the original was released here as Final Fantasy Legend), the Saga series has been much more... Read full review »

Pros Very eye-catching colors, good role-playing elements, large number of varied quests,...
Cons Battles reduced to games of spin the bottle, crack-headed manual, high-maintenance...

My worst habit on Epinions used to be writing interviews for games I had chosen to spend just a little time on. When you do read this review, I will have to be forthcoming and tell you that I've spent about 20 hours on this doped-out near-turkey with very little to show for it.

Why? First... Read full review »

Pros artwork, interesting story
Cons battle gameplay, non-battle gameplay, menus, nonintuitive interface -- a real disaster!
Recommended it? No

Unlimited SaGa is the strange PlayStation 2 successor to the PlayStation SaGa Frontier series and to the lesser known Romancing SaGa series from the Super Nintendo. True to its fashion, Unlimited features seven intertwined and somewhat non-linear story lines, whose protagonists all come together at... Read full review »

Continuation of the SaGa Series

Pros Leveling system, choice of playable characters, price
Cons Difficult to learn, instruction booklet not too helpful
Recommended it? Yes

Although most people I seem to know completely dislike Unlimited Saga, I disagree, but then again, I can also agree to some extent. Unlimited SaGa is a continuation of the SaGa series from previous systems, but offers completely different gameplay.

Graphics and Sound:
The graphics on... Read full review »

Pros Graphics and music.
Cons Roulette system.

I trusted Square Enix to bring me a good RPG, I really did. Yeah, I've played FFX-2, and yes, it probably was my fault for trusting Square Enix after that fiasco. But honestly, I figured I had nothing to lose, considering I found it lying in the bottom of the used games bin for $5. And...well, it... Read full review »

Pros Great Soundtrack, Awesome Graphics, Reminds Me of AD&D
Cons Mazes and Towns are Point-and-Click Affairs
Recommended it? Yes

I'm surprised to find only one review for this game so far, as it seemed to be one of the most hyped in most gaming magazines that I've read. I had a feeling it was going to be decent, but how decent, I had no idea. I saw the game in action for the first time on July 2nd 2003; while I was at... Read full review »

Pros Um..nothing.
Cons Everything.
Recommended it? No

I'm going to try to keep this as simple as possible. Because that's something the game definitely did not do. They made things as difficult as they could.

Now, I've played some confusing games in my day, but this one..well..it just beats 'em all. I wish I knew what the company had in mind... Read full review »

Pros None that I was patient enough to find.
Cons Too many to put into fifteen words.
Recommended it? No

First off, I didn't even get a manual with this game. The reviews I have read though seem to indicate that the manual would not have helped anyway.

I am very disappointed and should have read up on the game before I bought it, but I was looking for a new RPG and found this one, super... Read full review »
