Sucks in more ways than one
After doing some research, and actually trying out several vacuums in a store, I bought this Hoover in good faith.
Assembly was fairly easy, but some of the attachments don't stay attached if you bump them or just don't get them in quite right.

What an "Investment"
This vacuum is the most depressing piece of junk I have ever spent almost $200 on. From the first time it was used and my housekeeper couldn't figure out how the heck to get the attachment to suck (vacuum handle has to be in a certain position) to the second time when the "self cleaning filter"... My carpets are clean again.
Hoover's have always been in my house. I think in 25 years, we've gone through 3. The most recent one to kick didn't acutally break pre se, the belt did, but when I took it apart to change the belt, a locking piece snapped, it refused to stay upright any longer, and that was the end of an 11 year... HEPA filter clogs repeatedly
The self cleaning HEPA filter of the U8351-900 stopped rotating in only a few months, then clogs to the point of no suction. Hoover has really disappointed me!
Purchased this vacuum in July of 2006 and it's been in the shop longer than we've owned it. The supposedly self-cleaning Hepa-Filter is a total waste of money. It is the best.... and the worst
I bought this vacuum only for the fact that it is a Hoover and I have had better luck with Hoover brand vacuums than other brands. I already owned the Windtunnel 1 but was in the market for a new one and figured if the Windtunnel 1 (W1)was good then Windtunnel 2 HAD to be great. WRONG!!!

Ridiculous
I've had mine for about a year. It worked great the first few times, then gradually lost suction. The "self-cleaning" filter stopped turning forever ago and is totally disgusting.
