Pros Nice leather, moon roof is good, filter on windshield washer fluid, cab doesn't suck...
Cons Gas guzzler;low towing capacity at a maximum speed of 45mph, handles poorly when loaded!
Recommended it? No

Approximately every 2 years we trade in our 4x4 truck for a new one. We bought 4 Suburbans,a Yukon XL, and then a 2004 Sierra. Facing the raising gas prices and after reading a well known consumer review magazine (which rated our Sierra very poorly), we purchased a 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab... Read full review »

Pros No propaganda or truth-stretching from Toyota. More important, NO SURPRISES!
Cons Definitely an expensive truck. It's worth it, though.
Recommended it? Yes

Now keep in mind, I've only had it for about a year. No one (NO ONE) can speak to the reliability of a vehicle in one year. What I can say is, so far, it's the best truck I've ever had. Which trucks have I owned you ask? I have had several fords and chevys of various ages and sizes. Overall, none... Read full review »

Pros Lots of power and very quiet inside.
Cons Not quite as roomy as a full size.
Recommended it? Yes

After driving a 1996 Dodge Ram1500 with 218,000 miles I decided I needed a truck. The truck fells like a sports car compared to the Dodge. The power is great and it is so quiet compared to my old Dodge. The only thing I can complain about is I found a small dent in the rear bumper that I did not... 2996 Tundra Access Cab vs 1996 Silverado Regular Cab

Pros Tight feeling, size is what i liked as well.
Cons Poor gas consumption, large turning radius, transmission shifts too much in cruise...
Recommended it? Yes

I've got about 5,000 miles on the Tundra, so far I like it.

But it is not the truck my Chevy (purchased new) was. The gas mileage is poor, the turning radius is not as good, and the transmission in cruise continuously changes gears.

I favored the Tundra because of size and body... Read full review »

Pros Toyota quality. Very smooth. Power rear window.
Cons Turning radius. Stereo on SR5 is just OK
Recommended it? Yes

I bought a 2006 Tundra double cab. I really like it so far. The long wheel base is a bit of a disadvantage, but it drives very smoothly. I especially like the power rear window. With it down, you get so much air flow, you think you are in a convertible. Read full review »
