Nobody builds better quality!
I bought this truck in 2001. I have a base 4x2 regular cab automatic with the 4-cylinder. The only gripes I have about this truck are things I knew going into the purchase. The small 4-cylinder with the automatic has very little power. Still, you can cruise at 80 mph without too much noise.

I love my Tacoma!
I absolutely love my Tacoma. This is my second Tacoma. I currently have a 2000 Tacoma XTra cab 4x4 SR5 V6 TRD with Auto and all options.
No major problems through 60k miles.

So far, so good
This is my first truck... so far, it is more comfortable and quieter than any of my cars (all econoboxes or convertibles). Greatest Quality car I've ever owned
Although I did buy mine brand new, I can honestly say I never had even the smallest problem with it the two years I owned it. I have never heard of anyone having no problems with their automobile with the exception of it being a new Toyota.

Can't say I use my truck for anything rough, but around town it's a great ride. The best thing about it is the ride. Good Little Truck
I live in a sleepy town in NH so I need a truck to go to the dump and it is great to do errands with. I have the basic Regular Cab 4x2 4 cylinder automatic with air. I bought it about 9 months ago at an auction with 23,000 miles. It replaced a 1996 Ford Ranger with the same equipment.
