eveready bunny toyota minivan previa great deal
I bought one of these trustee old toyota vans, three years ago, for about $1800.oo. It had about 160000 miles on it. I drove it for three years, took it to 200000 miles, and during that time, did a few oil changes, replaced struts, shocks, and brakes. It never "needed" anything, other than the... Read full review »
Toyota more of the same only... More so
Bought at 180k miles. Was totalled at 200k miles. Silly insurance companies. Don't they know you cant kill a toyota:) Now have 207k miles. Mostly my wife drives it on 5 minute and 20 min trips and gets 18+ MPG. We load it to the gills and drive it 10 hours through the mountains to yosemite every... Read full review »
IT IS SEPTEMBER 2005 AND I LOVE MY '91 PREVIA
TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO EVERYONE WAS LAUGHING AT ME? WHY? BECAUSE I BOUGHT A MINI-VAN WITH 200K MILES ON IT. I paid $2000, which could have been a good down payment for a brand new vehicle. These were my reasons:
(a) It was a Toyota
(b) It had great reviews here on 'epinions'
(c) It...

Great family and all-around car
This was, I think, the first brand-new car my parents bought when I was very young. I have grown up in it and it has been an awesome car. I can just barely remember back to when every thing still worked like the rear seat air-conditioner and the fan speed position(only works on high now), but those... Read full review »
What a bargain
When we bought this van in 1991 I never dreamed we would still be driving it. It is a member of our family. We now have 350,000 miles on it without a major problem, except an accident that isn't the van's fault. The only complaints I have had with the van is the A/C which seems underdesigned and... Toyota Previa
We purchased this van a few years ago, when this van had about 80k miles. Happy that we made the purchase. This van has been tremendously reliable (typical of Toyota's) and has the most interior space of any van that we've looked at. I was initially hesitant about a minivan with only a four... (Updated) A Truly Unique & Innovative Vehicle
Engine & Transmission:
2.4 Litre, slanted inline 4 Cylinder engine is mounted in true "mid-engine" placement, located under the driver & front-seat passenger. The transmission is located immediately behind the engine, which is typical for rear-wheel drive vehicles. The Serpentine Belts,...

great van, wish that they still made it
We got our van new in 1991 and it is still going strong. We have 290,000 miles on it.
We had to have some rear end work and the belts changed once. Brakes, tires, normal stuff, but nothing much else.
The interior takes abuse because we have two small children. The sliding door mechanism...

Got a newer one I can buy?
I bought the Previa in '93 with 17,000 miles. Now in July of 2001, it has 215,000 miles, and still going strong.
Until recently, I used it in business to take customers to lunch. Now it's just getting a little too long in the tooth, although people can't believe it has the miles on it...

Previa - An Icon of Reliability
My Previa
My family bought a 1991 Toyota Previa the year it was up for grabs. We had been looking around for a good minivan that our family could afford. Around this time minivans were just becoming popular and we just had to have one. We finally decided on the LE series Previa, which was...

Reliable, versatile minivan, but poor IIHS crash rating
We purchased our 1991 Previa LE new and have put over 200,000 miles on it. We bought it because we were impressed with its car-like handling, spacious interior and functionality (especially the fold-down rear seats). We got the "captain seats" in the middle and they have been very comfortable --... Read full review »
1991 Previa Tops!
We purchased our 1991 Previa new when they debuted in mid-1990. It will be 10 years young on 8-7-2000, has 125,000 miles on it and runs almost like it did when new. We have been meticulous about routine maintenance and have not had to make any major, non-warranty repairs. We purchased the vehicle... Read full review »
Don't Want to Give It Up
We purchased our 1991 Toyota Previa van a little over four years ago. It has been worth every penny we financed! We chose the LE model as shown in the picture with both a sun roof and moon roof. The middle seats are captain's chairs instead of a bench-type seat. I was not sure I would like the... Read full review »
PREVIA - a truly great van
We bought our Previa new in 1991, after having owned 2 Ford Aerostars and having problems with them, our mechanic suggested the Previa. What a great suggestion that was! This has been the most reliable vehicle we've ever owned. We're very careful about performing regular maintenance on the van and... Read full review »
1991 was a good year
When I bought my 1991 Previa in Feb. of 98, it already had 129,000 miles on it. Knowing from previous experience how reliable and long-lasting Toyota's are, we took the chance (and got a great deal because of the miles). It now has 165,000 miles on it, and is still going strong.
I love my...

A Great Minivan
Hi - Recently I was in the market for a used minivan. Having owned a number of Toyota's in the past including a 1987 two wheel drive Toyota van and most recently a 1988 Toyota four wheel drive van that had 220,000 miles on it with no major problems, I was looking to buy a used Previa. I needed a... Read full review »
Lasts for a long time
My family an I have had a toyota previa for two years and there have been no problems yet. It seems to go forever with one hundred and sixty thousand miles on it. The thing i dont like about ours is because its not tented. We got the previa from a used car dealer and it was for seven thousand... Read full review »
Love My Previa!!
We bought MY Previa when I was selling at a lot of doll shows. The cargo space is more than ample. Now I use it for my every day car, and when
I go flea marketing there is plenty of space for all my treasures, and
all my friends. Well 7 of us anyway! We have the center captain chairs, which...

Keeps going with no trouble
We had been Volkwagen bus aficionados for several decades so when we were
in the market for a new van in the early 1990's we looked to the new VWs. However, we found that they seemed too much like trucks in riding hard, and instead bought a used Toyota. Initially it was one of the smaller,...
