Totally Live at the Whiskey a Go Go by Johnny Rivers (Pop)

Personnel: Johnny Rivers (vocals, guitar); Joe Osborn (bass); Eddie Rubin (drums). Producer: Lou Adler. Compilation producer: Dan Loggins. Recorded live at The Whiskey A Go-Go, Los Angeles, California between April & July 1964. Originally released on Imperial (LP 9264) & (LP 9274). Includes liner notes by Mugsy. Not too long ago, one of those little twits from New Kids on the N'Sync or the Backdoor Boys or whatever little trash band was big at the second... Read full review »

When I was growing up, my parents had a copy of the Johnny Rivers Live at the Whisky a Go Go album that I played repeatedly through my teen years. That album captured Johnny Rivers blazing through old time rock n' roll covers during a mid-1960s concert at the famed Whiskey a Go Go and it was unique... Read full review »
