Looking for real fun? Get the original.
This game is stunning when it comes to the visuals. The textures, backgrounds, and units are all very detailed and look great, but visuals aren't everything and in the area of gameplay TA:Kingdoms leaves a little to be desired. Sort Of Annihilation: Kingdoms
Kingdoms incorporates a good plot and nice diversity between races and units, but let's face it: It's not Total Annihilation. The original game packed a bigger punch than this ever will.

TA: interesting, exciting.. long lasting
TA Kingdoms is one of the best in many Warcraft II style games that can best be described as real-time strategy. This is not a *bad* game, but frankly it just didn't grip me. Basically it's just Total Annihilation, with magic instead of nuclear missiles.
