Tony Meola's Sidekicks Soccer (Nintendo SNES, 1993)
Developed by the same team responsible for NCAA Basketball, Tony Meola's Sidekicks Soccer uses similar Mode 7 rotation techniques to give gamers the perspective of being behind the ball at all times when on offense. Defense, which tracks the character you are controlling with a cursor, can be a little more tricky at times than the fantastic offensive perspective, but it gets easier with time. The game is filled with realistic options and features, including league or tournament play, corner kicks, roster alterations, varying formations, special plays and more. Though not as big of a kick as Nintendo's Super Soccer, this soccer sim definitely has game.
