Pros Durable, Sleek Design, Easy to Use, Efficient Solar Panel Battery.
Cons Small Display.
Recommended it? Yes

I’ve used Texas Instruments for all my calculating needs for most of my life. I learned gradually through using multiple TI calculators (TI-83/TI-84/TI-89 Titanium) that it is a respectable brand. About three years ago, when I needed to replace a basic four-function calculator to use every... Read full review »

I purchased a TI-36X and was delighted to see that all the scientific and statistical functions I needed were available at such a low price. I was getting ready to take a professional exam and I needed a good, scientific, statistical, non-programmable calculator.

Guess what! When I tried... Read full review »

Pros Many function, solar powered, conversions and constants
Cons Easy erasable memory

I own quite a few calculators, at least 11. I bought the TI-36X solar because it looked like the best scientific calculator at Radio Shack, and it looked pretty functional.

This TI (Texas Instruments) calculator has all the basic functions that appear on a scientific calculator, such as... Read full review »

Way back when I was in eighth grade I won a free calculator in my science class. It was the earlier version of the
TI-36X. When I lost that calculator I looked for the same one again and what I found was a spunky new version.

The TI-36X is an excellent calcualator for algebra up... Read full review »

Yes, I admit it! I own a Texas Instrument TI-36X Solar Calculator. This scientific calculator has probably helped many students pass their algebra, trigonometry, and chemistry classes. However, I am not a student in any of these courses. Embarrassingly, I really only bought this calculator for its... Read full review »

Pros Loads of necessary features
Cons Let's see the calculator last enough to use them all!
Recommended it? No

There are some types of products that require you to research their durability. You know, things like pickup trucks, athletic shoes, and pets (none of us want a dog that's going to fall apart right after you buy it!!!). But anyway, a calculator does not go on this list, usually. You kind of take... Read full review »

I have the old version of the TI-36X. I have had it for about 5 years, and it works very well still. If you need a calculator that performs regular and some advanced functions, this is for you. It does everything from adding numbers to finding the Arcsin of a value.

This calculator is one... Read full review »

Pros Features, 10 digits
Cons Just a calculator

I needed a better calculator for my geometry class in high school, and saw this on sale for $12. I thought it would be cheap and break down soon, but it has withstood the test of time very well. The screen is rather large, with a 10-digit display. The keys are rather large, and extremely easy to... Read full review »

I bought this calculator, TI-36x Solar, last year, and I have not bought any other calculator since. It is so far the best calculator you can buy and it's not expensive either - $10 only!

Pros Great calc, sets the standard
Cons None really
Recommended it? Yes

The TI-36 and the virtually identical TI-35 set the standard when it comes to scientific calculators. In my middle school, almost everyone used a 35 or 36 because it was pretty much the best scientific calculator you can buy in terms of functionality and price.

The calculator has all the... Read full review »

I bought the TI 36X before taking AP Chemistry in my Senior year of high School. I needed it for calculating these amazingly complex problems that I will, with any luck, never have to use again (I am an art major).
