Not Worth It
The curl cord between base and handset is only 1 foot in length, when in a tight curl before pulling on it, making it impractical for home or office use. This cord is locked in the base of the phone so the only way to lengthen it is to spend more money and add an adapter and then a longer cord... Read full review »
You've got to be kidding me.
This phone comes with a very short cord, and it's PERMANENTLY ATTACHED on one end so you can't replace it with a longer cord. What in the world is THAT about? Read full review »

I have had this phone for a number of years. It's rather strange: the phone plugs directly into the wall. what about the base you say? the cord between the wall and headset coils underneath the base, and the base mostly just serves to keep the receiver turned off.
