I have a 2002 714ce, I bought it in 2004. I love the guitar. Really nice to play, the pickup is fabulous, and it's understated visually.

The Taylor 714CE is a rosewood cutaway guitar in the "grand auditorium" style, with a big bottom and small waist. I really like two of Taylor's less expensive grand auditorium models, the mahogany 314 (and 314CE) and the ovangkol 414 (and 414CE). But I never cared that much for Taylor's rosewood... The 2001 Model Taylor 700 series had been changed somewhat from the 1998-2000 models.
