Pros Lightweight
Cons Expensive and not sharp at all
Recommended it? No

I bought this lens for landscape pictures and unusual special effects. I had the SP90mm and the SP24-48mm already and I was very impressed by the quality of these lenses. Pros Focal-range and Quality.
Cons A little heavy, and the zoom-lock can be a little irritating.

Pros Sharp-sharp pictures. Reasonable price!
Cons Heavy. Zoom-lock annoying.

Bought this lens for less than $300,- in Bangkok, Thailand.
I'm using it now for almost 4 month with my D70s body. And what a lens!!

Pros Broad focusing range24mm/135mm.Large wide to telephoto capabilities.Fairly fast.
Cons A bit soft at wide open .Stopping down one f/stop fixed that.
Recommended it? Yes

I realize that if I wished to pay at least twice as much money,I could have gotten a sharper lens.I compared various Canons and other makes such as Sigma,Tokina and Tamron.After some time of a/b comparisons,I found that this Tamron zoom, wide angle/telephoto lens was the one for me.
