(the toy, not gameboy game)

Pros teach kids some responsibility, cute, small/portable, interactive
Cons hard to find batteries for, may distract children in school
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased my first tamagotchi baby in seventh grade. They were cute! I couldn't resist. Even as a highschooler now, I still admit that they're adorable. Tamagotchis are little keychains with an LED display of a "creature" (i'm not sure what it is exactly!) that you have to feed and care for by... Read full review »

Virtual Breastfeeding...

Pros Can raise 3 Tamas at once, can turn it off at anytime and play later
Cons Wasn't made for color game boy :-)
Recommended it? Yes

The craze came and went a few years ago. Tamagotchi, created by Bandai Japan (original idea by Akai Mata), which exploded in popularity spread like wild fire to the US and other countries.

In my review I'll touch a bit on the Virtual Pet as well as the Game boy game, since there doesn't... Read full review »

(the gameboy game)

Pros cute, interactive
Cons expensive, nowhere near as convenient as keychain version
Recommended it? No

Well... if you read my epinion on the actual tamagotchi toy, you know I speak of it in glowing terms. I have pretty much the same things to say about the gameboy game, but it's missing a very crucial element - it's not a keychain!

Tamagotchi just isn't the same when played on a gameboy,... Read full review »

Would Be More Fun If I Could Shoot Them

Pros You can turn it off
Cons Repetitive, ugly creatures, bad graphics and sounds
Recommended it? No

If you were REALLY REALLY into the Tamagotchi keychains, then you MIGHT like this Game Boy game.

If you never even touched one of those fad Tamagotchi keychains, you probably have an idea what they're all about anyway. You can raise an "electronic pet." You feed it, and play with it, and... Read full review »

Why suffer through this?

Pros None I can think of.
Cons Annoying, games are not fun, Tamagotchis are hard to raise, even if caring for one.
Recommended it? No

Tamagotchi pets were really cool and in this game they're not. You can care for three of them at a time, but every one of them will wine and cry forever. You can never please them. Also, the Tamagotchi sport games are boring and hard and they will always die somehow. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME! Its... Read full review »
