Pros Party games are great on the Wii
Cons Poor execution
Recommended it? No

I first heard about Carnival Games on my mommy message board. A lot of the moms were raving about how fun it was, so I added the game to the Gamefly queue. We had to wait a long time for it; I suppose everyone else had the same idea that I did.

Now that I have spent some time playing the... Read full review »

Pros Laid back fun.
Cons Total lack of depth.
Recommended it? Yes

I've been itching to have a game that I would have the chance to tear into, really rip to pieces. I've written so many favorable reviews lately it's been driving me crazy. I thought I finally had my chance to do so with Carnival Games, but there's a certain underlying charm that keeps me from... Read full review »

Could have been a lot better

Pros A heck of a lot of games in one package
Cons A lot of those games are downright horrible
Recommended it? No

Ah, the good ol' Nintendo Wii. I love the little system, but buying games for it is rather like a crapshoot. Perhaps Nintendo set the bar a bit high by including the excellent Wii Sports with the system, but it would seem there are some obvious candidates for games that would provide similar... Can't get to the local fair? Here's Carnival Games for Wii.

My husband was looking for a game for my now 4 year old daughter to play. We took the recommendation of a friend that suggested to me that Carnival Games is a Wii game that can be played by young children.  Carnival Games is a... Read full review »

Carnival games are cute, but not enough to keep you coming back

byjvolzer Oct 3, 2007

Pros Lots of games, cute graphics, music & sounds that complement rather than annoy
Cons can't use Mii characters, not interesting enough to sustain interest
Recommended it? No

Carnival Games tries to recreate the experience of an old fashioned carnival or fair with all of the various "midway" type games. "Three throws for a dollar and you could win a prize!" While the concept is neat, the graphics fairly well done, and the games really do look like all the favorites you... Read full review »

Pros Colorful, cartoony graphics; gameplay generally pretty intuitive.
Cons Sloppy/difficult controls on some games; multiplayer is clunky.
Recommended it? Yes

Ah, carnivals. I admit they've kind of lost their appeal for me in recent years, now that I've figured out how much those midway games actually cost you to play, but I have fond memories of pink popcorn and cotton candy, pestering my dad to let me play another game of skee ball, and actually... Maybe version 2 will be better?

Pros Appeals to all ages, up to 4 players can compete using 1-2 remotes.
Cons Skill factor of some games ruined by timing a moving target.
Recommended it? Yes

Again, being a new WII owner (less than a month) this was probably one of the games I initially saw commercials for that made me think the WII was a must have. We purchased this for $40 last weekend and my 6 year old loves it. Because he loves playing against me in it so much, I have to like it... Read full review »

Pros Good for young children. Variety of games. Young children enjoy winning prizes.
Cons Cannot use Mii characters. A few games are too frustrating for young children.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought my 9 year old daughter and 4 year old son the Wii for Christmas. I looked at games at local retail stores but wasn't sure what to get them based on their age and gaming abilities. I certainly did not want to spend $50 per game and find that they do not like them or cannot play them.

Pros Easy to navigate and play. Fun to play.
Cons Sometimes it's hard to find at stores.
Recommended it? Yes

The Wii Carnival game is 100% fun. It's all the classic carnival games and activities...without the hucksters and tatooed carnival employees bothering you.

The games progress nicely the variety of action keeps your attention. Anyone over the age of 3 would love to spend a half hour at the... Read full review »

Pros It has lots of games in one, and you can play with one remote
Cons Bored and pretty expensive.

Well when we first got the wii we wanted all the games we could get, we were exited I guess that is normal when you add a new game console or any other thing to your collection.
While we were at the store we cross with the Carnival game and tough it was going to be so much fun and that... Read full review »
