I (actually, my dad) purchased my TI-89 in the September of 1999 for my math classes in high school. It was very expensive - $149.99 - and my dad wasn't too thrilled about the price. But in my experience, the TI-89 was a very good purchase. I've used it in all my math and science classes so far and... Read full review »

Cons The price is a little high

The TI89 is almost definitely the best calculator available today. It contains all the advantages of the TI 92 but in a hand held form. Set up in a windows-like fashion, this calculator is very easy to figure out: For example, if you want to use a calculus function, you just scroll to the calculus... Read full review »

Like the title says this is the best calculator ever. I just bought this 2 weeks ago. While doing my research I had read a lot of reviews saying that the [2nd],[ALPHA], and the diamond button functions were hard to read . Do not believe the people that wrote that, they are either near blind or are... Read full review »

I never really had a graphing calculator before, and I wanted to get a good one. Everybody who had something to say on the subject said that the TI-89 Titanium was the best in the class. So I went on eBay and bought one for $110 plus $8 shipping.

The prices have been coming down since I made... Read full review »

A machine capable of doing calculations, equations, and functions that would boggle the human brain, while being able to play games such as Super Mario. This is the TI-89. The TI-89 is a step down from the TI-92 and TI-92 plus, but it still packs a punch. While being able to do differential... Read full review »

I'm a longtime TI user: I had a TI-83+ in high school, then moved up to a TI-86, which I then used in college. After college, these both got occasional use for a few years until I decided to change careers, and returned to school to study engineering. Then I pulled out the 86, which worked for... Pros Rampant, motley and sometimes muddled power
Cons NOT really a calculator but a computer with calculator applications, and it shows!
Recommended it? No

Having been an electronics engineer for 20 years, I use calculators quite a bit. I decided it was time to replace my dozen year-old HP 28S with the biggest, baddest TI available. Now, I'm thinking that was a mistake. The features on this calculator are very poorly integrated. TI seems to have taken... Read full review »
