Pros voice, sms (text msg), email, web browser and instant messesing of AIM and YAHOO IM
Cons lacks the capabilities of things such as MMS (picture messaging)
Recommended it? No

As a tmobile tech support representative I know exactly how this sidekick II works. Sidekick II has been out for a while now and people keep asking when is the Sidekick III coming out? I doubt anytime soon.

Pros Nice for "text messaging" junkies and internet buffs....
Cons Quite pricey...Screen seems too flimsy....

It took me quite some time to purchase the Sidekick II due to me hesitating about spending so much money on a phone. Pros A very unique phone. Email and AIM works good.
Cons Heavy, useless 2-bit camera, slower than 56k internet, prone to hardware problems.
Recommended it? No

You would think hardware like this made in Japan would be more reliable. My 1 year warranty recently expired, and sure enough, my phone stops working. I had other issues with it even before that happend. Once my sidekick II froze on me and I couldn't reset it. I had to wait for the battery to drain... Read full review »

Pros GREAT: color screen, QWERTY keyboard, flexibility, customer service (T-Mobile)
Cons NO: JavaScript,BlueTooth,Java,voice dialing, mp3. INCONVENIENT: dialing, as handset.
Recommended it? Yes

Nutshell version: If you like features, they are all here, and none of them work all that well.

You can browse the web, but don't expect to be able to browse anything beyond basic html-only sites. Most sites require JavaScript these days. The SideKick II doesn't have JavaScript support... Read full review »

Okay, so I've had my Sidekick for 3 days now, not saying much, but it is absolutely SPECTACULAR!! If you don't have one get out there and get one- NOW! They are so user friendly and technologically advanced that a child could use this (Not recommended)

Pros Great keyboard ergonomics. Great at email and AOL Instant Messenger, when it works.
Cons Everything else. The services it's good at often don't work. Only available...

When it is working, it is a terrific email device and a very solid AOL Instant Messenger device.

I can set up multiple email accounts and can easily choose to change my from line, so that I can reply from my business or personal email addresses.

I really like the sidekick. It is great for IM and email. It has an okay camera and flash. Everyone thinks it looks cool, and it really is.

Pros The phone has a lot of cool features.
Cons Unreliable, bulky, not user friendly.

The mature reader will understand the title, and appreciate my review. The sidekick is a cool, nifty device, but is not for the professional that needs reliability. My husband uses a Blackberry, but I opted for the Sidekick so that I could be "cool" and "hip". What a mistake!!!
