Get a Surge Protector
The ending to System Shock 2 is terrible, I'll get that out of the way. It's a bad joke that shouldn't detract from the total product because it wasn't what the designer originally planned. Usually I don't care for game endings but System Shock 2 is a masterpiece of how to make a scary, dense game... Read full review »
Walk softly and carry a big gun.
System Shock 2 is a classic. It's probably one of the fast games where you can choose to do many different things in one linear path. Each time you play it, it's like trying to break a record as you decide what the best plan of attack for each section is.
Based on the Starship known as...

System Shock 2... are you ready for this?
In a few words this game has done what other games have tried so hard to achieve. The gameplay is a first-person shooter and the story plot is very facinating.
- The graphics are great (I would reccomend a 32meg video card or higher)
- The sound is out of this world, literally (They...

Fantastic Game That Keeps You Playing
I am not really a fan of computer games, because I have PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast, N64 etc... pretty much all the video game consoles. I once played a demo of System Shock 2 from a magazine in the mail, and I was amazed by the excellent quality and excellent style of RPG-like gameplay. I just had... Read full review »

You'll get a "Shock" after playing this game!
Fear is creeping down a dark corridor, listening to the creak of the starship?s hull around you, straining for that one telltale sound that may mean the difference between life and death.
Fear is hearing the accounts of your shipmates as they either change into something horrific or...

System Shock 2: A Shock to the System
The first time I played this game, one of my friend's older brother had it and he (my friend) brought it to my house. He accidently left it at my house and since then I have not been able to stop playing it. This game will give you an adrenaline rush, no matter who you are. Whether it is right at... "SILENCE THE DISCORD!!!"
I heard of System Shock 2 a while ago, while I was going over what games a friend of mine had. He told me about the general layout of SS2 and I decided to check it out. Having never played, or for that matter...heard of....System Shock, I really didn't know what to expect.
The game starts...

One of the best games I have ever played
Having read my title, keep in mind that you're not me so if you don't like it please don't write to me.
The story

Worthy hybrid RPG/FPS
System Shock 2 represents an excellent blend of Role Playing elements and First Person Shooter action.
I will not divulge any story line elements, but will tell you that the story is deep, immersive, and at times, rather surprising. You will truly feel as though you are part of the story...

Now that this Game is in the Bargain Bins, No Excuse Not to Play it!
System Shock 2 is the rare game like Half-life or Thief that is far more than the simple action game that Doom virtually created so many years ago. Actually it is much more than even a 1st person shooter with a story. It actually succeeds as a Role Playing Game, and that is very difficult to do... Read full review »
A Homage to Looking Glass 2 ; System Shock 2
The original System Shock was a sleeper hit when it was released in 1992, garnering many critic votes for the best game of the 1990s. It was a game set in a futuristic world gone horribly wrong. It was a first person shooter that broke the mold, telling a tale of horror and requiring brains, quick... Read full review »
Another pleasant Shock to the System
Background
I could be fairly described as a hardcore role-playing gamer. I prefer role-playing games (RPGs) that are heavy on detail and consider the playing of an actual role very important in these games. I don?t mind one way or the about statistics and numbers in the game but want realism...

System Shock 2
System Shock 2 is a realistic action/rpg game with sor of a horror theme. When you first look at the game it looks just like another first person shooter game with the view and all of the weapons. It also has a true rpg style of it too. It has your attribute upgrades, and inventory and a very... Read full review »
A good step in the right direction
System Shock 2 was/is a sizable step in the right direction for first-person shooters. It provides story and tactics where none could be found until this classic and Half-Life were released. The days of mindless shooters inspired (if I can loosely use that word) by Doom and Quake are done. Sorry if... Read full review »
Another Shock to the System
I've always loved the idea of 2 genres merging, and the first successful game I played was Battlezone. It was brilliant. I knew if someone combined my favorite genres, FPS and RPG, it would create a game that would be almost perfect. The now deceased Looking Glass Studios designed this game, System... "How can you resist the powers of the flesh?"
-The Many, System Shock 2
First, the price is extremely low! Some people may assume that it's cheap cost may mean a cheap game. Nope! Sequel to PC Gamer's #6 game of all time, System Shock 2 is a marvelous PC game.
The graphics are...

The sequel that fell just a few feet short
Every played the original System Shock? Liked it? Then go ahead and pick up System Shock 2. With an updated graphics engine, improved controls, and a more in depth story, it improves on virtually all of the original's qualities. However, if you felt the original was too light on role playing... Read full review »
