Pros Consistent grind, $50, looks good, easy to use, perfect
Cons static cling, but that really cant be avoided.
Recommended it? Yes

After using a 15 dollar mr.coffee blade grinder for over a year, I finally got sick of inconsistent grind size, always forgetting the measurements of how much ground coffee per cup, holding down the "grind" button either too long or not long enough, etc. Plus having just gotten a new amazing... Burr? More Like Grrr

byyoudamom Mar 7, 2007

Pros Looks cool, automatic shut off
Cons Expensive, messy
Recommended it? No

The best feature of this grinder is that it shuts off automatically. You choose how many cups of coffee you are going to make, slide the dial to that number on the grinder, press GO and it will grind the appropriate amount. This takes the guesswork out of trying to figure out the perfect amount of... Read full review »

Awful

Pros None
Cons Unreliable Poor grinder
Recommended it? No

This product doesn't grind well at all. The finest setting is still pretty coarse. It's a real nuisance to clean; and even getting the coffee out of the container is a messy process.

Last, mine broke after only modest use. The motor just seized up and fried.

Complete waste of... Read full review »

Loved it till it died after three months... twice.

Pros Sleek look, love the large hopper and the removable container that holds the finished...
Cons Painfully noisy, static electricity makes mess of grounds, motor keeps dying on me!
Recommended it? No

I loved the look and function of this grinder (used with a drip coffeemaker) until the motor died after just three months of daily use. Figured it was a fluke, so I returned it at the store and got a new one... which also died after three months of use. I tried to get ahold of Cuisinart's customer... Read full review »

Pros Good Value, Great Design, Durable
Cons None submitted
Recommended it? Yes

I received this as a Christmas gift a couple months ago and I love it.  It's so nice to be able to grind just what you need so you can have a fresh cup of coffee every time you brew.  It's a little hard to contain the grounds when you're pulling the reservoir out and there seems to always... Pros Has lasted for over a year. We got ours for free.
Cons I would rather wake and run a chain saw than use this grinder.
Recommended it? No

Our unit was a hand me down from my wife's father. It took some time, but he finally admitted that he and his wife could not stand the noise. We have had it for at least a year and it works great. However we are in the market for something new as the noise is unbearable. We had family in from out... Read full review »

Really poor reliability

Pros Appealing at first look.
Cons Extremely noisy and unreliable.
Recommended it? No

The grinder worked well for the first 3 months then started to work on occasion. Appears that their switch is some cheap retrofit. Became unusable and junk at its lifespan of 5 months. Still looks shiny an new but doesn't work. Read full review »

Pros It has adjustable size grind, good price, looks sharp, and no problem to clean.
Cons It is very LOUD. It brought our 6 mo. old grandson to tears!

Can't beat the price and performance. We've had one for a year and never had a problem. It's easy to use but is loud. Read full review »

Pros Cost, ease of use
Cons Static cling, switch design and location

After 30 years of Maxwell House and Folger's from the can, I decided to try my own grinding after tasting some of my daughter-in-law's brew.
I opted for an entry-level burr grinder rather than spend an arm and leg on the combined grinder/brewer machine. For brewing I have a basic Mr Coffe... Read full review »

Pros Price, Good coffee/espresso
Cons Noise, Grind Consistency, Not Great Coffee, just good.
Recommended it? Yes

I had read reviews about how messy the DBM-8 was. I have not noticed any messes, well at least that are the fault of the grinder. I have used the DBM-8 for 3 weeks now. The only mess I made was dosing the grounds into the espresso brewing cup. My wife did assemble the lid to the grind receptacle... Read full review »
