Vacation Mario

byBaronSamedi3 Nov 20, 2008

Pros Despite all the water, few actual water levels
Cons The feeling of intentional sadism you'll get after repeatedly failing sometimes
Recommended it? Yes

Poor Mario! He just can't seem to escape trouble, even when he flees his home in the Mushroom Kingdom for a much-deserved holiday at the beautiful resort of Isle Delfino. As Mario, Peach, and an army of Toads large enough to take over Belgium fly toward the hip vacation destination of Mario's... Read full review »

Pros Awesome Mario-64 like gameplay, Amazing graphical achievements
Cons Makes you wish you had a Gamecube if you don't have one!
Recommended it? Yes

When the Nintendo 64 debuted around the world people were amazed by Mario 64. The revolutionary 3D gameplay, the amazing graphics, the riveting story (joke!). Mario 64 changed the face of 3D platfomers ever since. However, no sequels or any other Mario games came to the N64. When the Gamecube came... Read full review »

Mario is one of the most recognizable characters in video gaming, and he earned his popularity by starring in a ton of brilliant games, when the NES reigned as King. In his Debut for the Nintendo Gamecube, Mario will be giving gamers what they expect from him -- colorful cutesy... Read full review »

Pros Beautiful graphics, very interactive and engaging, sufficient amount of levels.
Cons Occasional camera glitches, doesn't include much of the "classic" Mario.

This was one of the first games I got for my Nintendo Gamecube and I instantly fell in love with it. Super Mario Sunshine starts off with Mario and Peach arriving on Isle Delfino for a vacation. Upon arrival, they encounter a Pirhana Plant surrounded by a glob of muck that has... Read full review »

Pros EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF!
Cons The freakin' camera angles
Recommended it? Yes

First off I would like to say that this is the most fun I've had in a Mario game since Super Mario World on SNES. SMS is a must buy game (along with some others) for the GC. Sure, from the commercial you might think that it looks sort of stupid. Mario with a squirt gun? But once you buy it, your... Read full review »

While not arriving at the expected time of Gamecube?s release, Nintendo owners can finally catch the latest glimpse of Miyamoto?s versatile Italian posterchild, Mario, on his feet again in Super Mario Sunshine. Although Mario has been done in 3-D before with Super Mario 64, Miyamoto?s new idea was... Read full review »

Pros Wonderful gameplay, responsive controls, excellent graphics, beautiful music, and just...
Cons None, but may be too challenging for some

My last Super Mario Bros. game was the super classic Super Mario World. This game was my first serious foray into serious 3-D gaming. (I missed out on Super Mario 64, fool that I am. But it made me dizzy. This game did not.) I finished the game just a couple of weeks ago.

I've heard many... Read full review »

Almost one year after Nintendo's Gamecube system was released, Nintendo owners finally get their platform mascot Mario game. And it couldn't come at a better time. Gamecube owners really haven't had anything to brag about when talking about great games on their nice new system. Fact of the matter... Read full review »

Pros -Great game-play -Big levels -Mario's back!
Cons -Tropical theme gets old -Seems rushed
Recommended it? Yes

I challenge you to find a person who has not heard of Mario. Ask people, and it will surprise you how many people can sing the theme, or tell you something about him. He is probably the most recognized video game character, and one of the oldest. He is not only a game icon, but an icon as great... Read full review »
