Pros Versatile, sturdy, aesthetically appealing, two bubble levels
Cons Heavy, expensive, pan-head can be a pinch loose
Recommended it? Yes

I've been getting into photography more and more over the last year. I was using a Canon SD870 point and shoot for a while, but as my hobby grew I wanted something better. Upgrading just last month I got myself a Nikon D60 and love it. For certain shots though my pictures were coming out a bit... Read full review »

This tripod represents a rarity in today's market - a product that exceeds expectations in almost every way.

The threaded screws for adjusting the feet are also rusted over and makes... Read full review »

Cons Weighty & bulky so not for backpackers
Recommended it? Yes

Being 6'1" tall, it was difficult for me to photograph nature, especially birds, with my Slik tripod. This Sunpak PlatinumPlus extends to 74" max height, making it easy for me to photo birds and other high or tall objects. The unit is well constructed and provides a very steady platform for the...
