Pros mixes well, easy to clean, great price
Cons not really meant to bake in
wierd shaped loaf
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this machine about a month ago and love it so far. However, I only use the dough cycle and bake my buns and bread in the oven. Tried using the bread machine for baking, my bread raised way to high, was touching the window, and wierd shaped huge loaf. I find it just... Pros Easy to Use, Good Value, Durable
Cons Bulky, Heavy
Recommended it? Yes

This breadmaker was a great value. It has good presets and clean up is a lot easier than I imagined it would be.

I didn't use it for a while due to concerns that I would be spending a fortune in energy per loaf of bread. But on the back of the unit it says that its maximum energy usage... Read full review »

Although the finished product is acceptable, I don't like the overall taste of the bread in this breadmaker. I actually sold mine at a recent yardsale. Read full review »

Big disappointment!

Pros Less than 1 hour bread time. I have to give it that one!
Cons Bread doesn't bake properly unless on rapid rise (for my machine anyway).
Recommended it? No

The Sunbeam_5891_Bread_Maker never worked quite right for me. This is my 3rd breadmaker. If only Hitachi hadn't quite making them! The only way I can get a good loaf is if I use the rapid setting and 3 packets of rapid rise yeast! ($$$) Any regular setting is sadly dense and over-cooked, no... Good & Easy to Use

Pros Makes good bread and is easy to use.
Cons Have to scrap dough out of corners, kneading paddle comes off to easy.
Recommended it? Yes

Makes good bread and dough. However, I find I have to watch the corners for any dough build up. I usually just scrap the corners with a small spatula when it first start kneading just to make sure all the dough will be captured. Sometimes the kneading paddle bakes into the bottom of the bread. ... Pros Price!!, good learning tool for a novice
Cons bake cycle a bit long, provided recipes incorrect

The Sunbeam 591 is my first bread machine and there has been a significant learning curve in making good bread. I used up 5 bags of flour before I started to figure out the tricks. But I have had it now for a year and once I learned the tricks, my bread has been very good. Functionally, my machine... Read full review »

Pros easy to use, cheap, house smells like bakery,
Cons I gained weight from eating too much bread.
Recommended it? Yes

I moved to the US from Europe and I am deeply in love with this country and its inhabitants. The only thing I cannot stand is American bread. It is a biggest wonder for me why to make bread you need to include 50 ingredients and why it tastes so awful. Buying good bread became expensive, so I tried... Read full review »

Pros Cheap
Numerous settings
Availability
Cons Poor construction
Pan shape odd
Recommended it? Yes

I paid $58 for the Sunbeam 5891 bread maker at walmart. I bought this because it was the cheapest bread maker I could find. I got it home and the first thing I did was make a regular loaf of white bread. The machine is rather bulky and takes up a lot of counter space. Is tall as well so stashing it... Read full review »

Blade Sticks

Pros User friendly and easy to use. Makes a quality product for little cost.
Cons Holes in the bottom of my bread because the blade continually gets baked in.
Recommended it? Yes

Recently purchased this machine to try and offset the high costs of buying bread from the store. I have only made 3 loaves so far, and they have all turned out great. EXCEPT for the small problem of the kneading blade always gets baked into the bottom on my bread becoming stuck and creating a hole... Read full review »

Pros Price, makes good bread, "forgiving"
Cons Baking pan leaked after 4 months

I bought the 5891-33 and 4 months later the baking pan started leaking so had to send to nearest supply depot(200 miles) (@ my expense; about $15. postage). Store where I bought it only warrantied for 30 days; next time I'll check that out before buying since we don't live in a big city. Sunbeam... Read full review »

Pros Made a real good loaf of bread first use. Simple controls, it works (No Frills)
Cons No back lighted screen, very poor manual, non-programmable, no pause mode
Recommended it? Yes

My Breadman TR2500BC died read that report for more information.
Replaced it today with the Sunbeam 5891.
Ok it is simple to use, no user defined menus, book sucks big time. Doesn't give times of cycles except basic one only.
So if you want to experiment this ain't for you.

I normally make bread by hand because I always assumed it was just as easy as using a bread machine. I was given this Sunbeam bread machine as a gift and at first I wasn't excited about it. Once I made my first load, everything changed.

Pros Machine works wonderful. Cleaning is very easy.
Cons Paddle stays inside the loaf.

I've had the Sunbeam Bread Maker several months now. Each time I tried to make wheat bread it fell in the center and was hard. I used all fresh ingredients. So I stopped trying wheat and tried white. The white is fine, but it has a hard crust and dries out fast. APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS????... Read full review »

This is my second bread maker (my Regal lasted 10 yrs!) and finally broke. I immediately went out to get a new one, and the price sold me. Initially I bought an Oster, but the cover did not close properly, so I returned it for this model. They are nearly identical.
I've had this two weeks and... Read full review »

Pros Makes great bread
Cons Heavy rye flour makes it work hard .But it made nice bread .

For the money , or any money cannot be beat. Have baked 30 lovely loves with almost no salt or sugar . It's best to watch the kneading process as different flours act differently . You can make fine adjustments by adding small amounts of flour or water .The breadmaker had a problem with heavy rye... Read full review »

Pros Cheap, efficient, great bread.
Cons Not enough recipes included, rambling owner's manual.

I posted a negative review on another bread machine last week and went out and purchased the Sunbeam. I have to admit, I was really apprehensive about buying Sunbeam from Wal-Mart but after having awful luck with my previous machine, I decided to give Sunbeam a try. I'm so glad I did! My bread...
