Blade Sticks

Pros User friendly and easy to use. Makes a quality product for little cost.
Cons Holes in the bottom of my bread because the blade continually gets baked in.
Recommended it? Yes

Recently purchased this machine to try and offset the high costs of buying bread from the store. I have only made 3 loaves so far, and they have all turned out great. EXCEPT for the small problem of the kneading blade always gets baked into the bottom on my bread becoming stuck and creating a hole... Read full review »

Pros Price, makes good bread, "forgiving"
Cons Baking pan leaked after 4 months
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the 5891-33 and 4 months later the baking pan started leaking so had to send to nearest supply depot(200 miles) (@ my expense; about $15. postage). Store where I bought it only warrantied for 30 days; next time I'll check that out before buying since we don't live in a big city. Sunbeam... Read full review »

Breadman TR2500BC dead, Sunbeam 5891 replacement

bynewbug Aug 5, 2008

Pros Made a real good loaf of bread first use. Simple controls, it works (No Frills)
Cons No back lighted screen, very poor manual, non-programmable, no pause mode
Recommended it? Yes

My Breadman TR2500BC died read that report for more information.
Replaced it today with the Sunbeam 5891.
Ok it is simple to use, no user defined menus, book sucks big time. Doesn't give times of cycles except basic one only.
So if you want to experiment this ain't for you.

I normally make bread by hand because I always assumed it was just as easy as using a bread machine. I was given this Sunbeam bread machine as a gift and at first I wasn't excited about it. Once I made my first load, everything changed.

This bread machine is so easy. You just dump the... Read full review »

Pros Machine works wonderful. Cleaning is very easy.
Cons Paddle stays inside the loaf.
Recommended it? Yes

I've had the Sunbeam Bread Maker several months now. Each time I tried to make wheat bread it fell in the center and was hard. I used all fresh ingredients. So I stopped trying wheat and tried white. The white is fine, but it has a hard crust and dries out fast. APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS????... Read full review »

Pros loaf pops right out!
Cons top collapses, HARD crust, poor manual
Recommended it? No

This is my second bread maker (my Regal lasted 10 yrs!) and finally broke. I immediately went out to get a new one, and the price sold me. Initially I bought an Oster, but the cover did not close properly, so I returned it for this model. They are nearly identical.
I've had this two weeks and... Read full review »

Pros Makes great bread
Cons Heavy rye flour makes it work hard .But it made nice bread .
Recommended it? Yes

For the money , or any money cannot be beat. Have baked 30 lovely loves with almost no salt or sugar . It's best to watch the kneading process as different flours act differently . You can make fine adjustments by adding small amounts of flour or water .The breadmaker had a problem with heavy rye... Read full review »

Cons Not enough recipes included, rambling owner's manual.

I posted a negative review on another bread machine last week and went out and purchased the Sunbeam. I have to admit, I was really apprehensive about buying Sunbeam from Wal-Mart but after having awful luck with my previous machine, I decided to give Sunbeam a try. I'm so glad I did! My bread...
