Not My Cup of Tea

Pros Mixes very well on a small scale and saves time
Cons Bowl too small, slings mix out everywhere and limits recipes you can use
Recommended it? No

I was given this mixer as an anniversary gift. The mixer dose a very good job of mixing, the speeds are very versatile (you can choose the exact speed you want) and fairly easy to clean. Unless you are mixing a very small cookie, cake or bread recipe the mixer is nearly useless.
Even the large... Read full review »

Great mixer!

Pros Stylish, easy to use, plenty of power.
Cons Bowl wobbles under heavy load.
Recommended it? Yes

Our Black & Decker breadmaker fell apart after a single year of moderate use, so the wife and I were in the market for something heavy-duty. After perusing stand mixers, we narrowed our selection to this Sunbeam dual-motor 450W stand mixer and the Cuisinart 1000W stand mixer. Unwilling to dish out... Read full review »

Designed to fail

Pros Overall design
Cons Tilt mechanism is unwieldy and undependable
Recommended it? No

I was ecstatic to find the Heritage design. It is almost identical to the one my mum-in-law received as a wedding gift in 1939, and which has been in use since then, although the stand was misplaced during a move in 1996. The ancient machine is extremely heavy and the arthritis prohibits me from... Read full review »

Pros easy to carry and use, inexpensive
Cons tilt feature, loudness, features
Recommended it? Yes

This is a great beginner's stand mixer because it has all basic settings and Sunbeam is a trusted name in the world of cooking and baking. I got this after graduating from college to start a baking career but I decided to upgrade this year because it lacked features that I desired. I love the fact... Read full review »

Not a bad mixer

Pros Sleek looking, easy clean-up, affordable, frees up your hands.
Cons Replacement parts can be expensive, small bowls, dough escapes bowls while mixing.
Recommended it? Yes

I decided to buy the Sunbeam mixer because it was more affordable than a KitchenAid and had power closer to a KitchenAid than other beaters I had looked at. I have wanted a stand mixer for some time but just couldn't get myself to fork out to much money yet. I have had it for almost 4 months and... Read full review »

Pros Great design, heavy duty construction, 2 stainless mixing bowls included, cool color,...
Cons Doesn't come with paddles for stiffer batters and dough.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought my husband (who is the baker in my family) the Sunbeam mixer for Christmas. He really likes the design and functionality of it. Bowl slides to the outside for scraping and adding ingredients. He likes the many speed options, and two different sized stainless mixing bowls that come with the... Read full review »

Pros attractive easy to use performs well
Cons hard to release beaters
Recommended it? Yes

I bought a Sunbeam because I loved the retro look and I also loved the price - only $130 for 450 watts which was more wattage than the comparable KitchenAid at a much better price. The mixer does a good job for cookies, cakes, muffins, or dough for bread. I have not used it for mashed potatoes. It... Read full review »

Pros Excellent time saver, when preparing for parties.
Cons turntable motor failed after ten uses. Parts are on back order for two months.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this product because it was a very attractive product and the fact that Sunbeam carries a very good reputation for craftsmanship and service. Additionally, the price was very attractive. Read full review »

Pros Light, Inexpensive
Cons LOUD
Recommended it? No

My Kitchen Aid broke, and while saving up for a second one, my mother bought me the Sunbeam. My first time using it, I was surprised at how the beater actually touched the bottom of the bowl. And then I was shocked at how loud this unit is. Don't believe anyone if it says this is a quiet machine... Read full review »

failed but replaced

Pros This was the more heavy duty version with steel bowls and better mixing attachments.
Cons the drive gears stripped out after one year.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased this mixer because I wanted a heavier duty mixer than the one we regularly used and did not want one as heavy as the Kitchen-aide. We like the new version as it had a better motor yet was not too heavy to move off the counter and store away. The unit is easy to clean and operate and did... Read full review »
