Cons Easily breaks

This is the first pressed powder I have used from Clinique, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed. The sponge applicator is easy to use, although I must admit that I apply mine with a powder brush. The powder is silky and not drying at all, even though it is for oily skin. It also removes shine... Read full review »

Pros Not many pros. Clinique is a great brand, good quality makeup.
Cons New powder does not give even finish, does not apply well to skin.
Recommended it? No

I've been using Clinique Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Stay Golden for over 2 years. I absolutely LOVE this powder, but in the old compact. It glided on smoothly, giving my skin a beautifully glowing finish.

But Clinique recently redesigned the compact. It is now a lighter green marble and... Read full review »

About 2 weeks ago, I invested in a whole set of clinique products. I was recommended to use this as a "final step" powder, as I have oily/combination skin. Sometimes I have dry patches, but mostly I shine in the Tzone and sides of my nose. It varies from day to day.

After applying a good... Read full review »

Pros Great coverage
Cons Absolutely nothing
Recommended it? Yes

I really love this powder by Clinique. I was struggling over the different ones that Clinique has to offer but I am glad I chose this one. The application is good and doesn't make my face "cakie". I haven't noticed the orange color that some others seem to complain about. Overall this is a fabulous... Read full review »

Pros There are none.
Cons Doesn't do the job for an oily T-Zone.
Recommended it? No

I went to Clinique to try something other than my usual products from MAC. Originally I tried the clarifying powder but found it did nothing for shine. I ended up returning the product in exchange for the Stay-Matte "stay-neutral" powder. My problem area is my nose which tends to become quite oily,... Read full review »

Pros absorbs oil, light and airy, good shades for mixed folks, quality packaging
Cons matte doesn't last very long

My skin is considered to be combination most of the time. In the winter I get dry areas but am okay for the most part. During the spring, however, and through the summer, my face is quite combination. My "T" zone can get quite oily, but remains dry around the lips and under the eyes.

What can I say? Clinique Stay Matte Pressed Powder is simply the best pressed powder I have ever used! It's gives me light to medium coverage, makes my skin look flawlessly matte. Pros great coverage, reasonably priced, good color selection, long wearing
Cons turns orange in oilier areas

I know my title sounds a little harsh, but I actually do like this powder. Like another reviewer, I was always into "drugstore only" cosmetics as I couldn't fathom why someone would spend more than $5 on a face powder. Naturally, this powder changed my makeup wearing life.

Coverage: This... Read full review »

I have only recently started to use Clinique products, but I am sure I will only use the Clinique brand from now on. I have struggled to find the best makeup for years, trying every possible drug store brand. I finally decided to fork out the extra bucks and try some "good" stuff- department store... Cons A bit pricey

I've been using Clinique's Stay Matte Pressed powder since forever. I first started out using your normal pharmacy store brands like Covergirl and Neutrogena because of their prices, but I've found Clinique to be much better.

Although it's a bit pricey, roughly $20 with tax, it worth it... Read full review »

Pros nice compact, helps with shine, not too heavy - not too light, oil free
Cons pricey

I've been using Clinique's Stay-Matte Pressed Powder since December 2000. That's when I had finally had enough and went to my local Clinique counter and let the woman there have at me. This lovely pressed powder has been my favorite item in my make-up case since I first picked it up. I was looking for a type of powder that I could use that would allow me to skip a liquid foundation. This was it.

Pros light, silky finish, last a long time
Cons pretty pricey for pressed powder, sometimes a little cakey looking

Like everyone else that's cursed by sometimes oily skin, I bought this pressed powder in hopes of improvement.
