Not instant at all
I would have to agree with other reviews on this product that state this is not an instant ice cream maker. It makes great ice cream, but it really takes about 2 days. Otherwise it is a great product and I love it. Read full review »

Works as you might expect an inexpensive ice cream maker would
When I first bought my ice cream maker, I washed and dried the freezer bowl and stuck it in the freezer for 24 hours. Basically you want to freeze it long enough so that when you take it out of the freezer and shake it, you do not hear any liquid moving around.
