a satisfying machine
When I firstly installed the equipments (Sony STR-DE875,Sony DVD NS 700, and speakers package + Subwoofer of Sound Design Sweden) in my study room of a 3.5 x 4.5 m2 area. I found the sound that it created shockingly great as if the whole air in my room vibrated.

Looking for a reliable budget minded Home theater?
The STR-DE is a great starting point. HISTORY-Before this unit, I used (and still do) the Sony STR-D565. I liked the features it had considering the time it was made and it afforded me reliable listening enjoyment - and I bought it used.

The Sony STR-DE875 is a GREAT receiver. Especially for what I consider a very modest price tag. It comes with many features, like DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic. When I first saw this receiver It really looked good and seemed to be loaded with digital and other hookups for upgrading your system.The operation instructions are a nightmare.
