Sony's canalphone twist pays off
A first glance at these 'phones reveals the MDR's trademark asymetrical left and right wire lengths, the left being shorter in a design made to allow the wires to be worn behind the listener's head. Upon closer inspection, though, one sees that the 90s differ from their lower-priced brethren in... Read full review »
Sony's flagship again
I have used quite a number of Sony earphones, namely E837, E838, E888, E931and EX90. While EX90 is the most expensive one (HKD$668), I think it is worth the money.
Sound
Crisp and clear with great transient response, plucking and percussive instruments sound extremely clear. Bass are...

Returned Bose got these Thank You SONY no return necessary
Awesome. They are far superior to the Bose Triports, and the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 2, my last set of earbuds. The Sony MDR-EX71SL's even outperformed both aforementioned products. The Sony MDR-EX90LP's are obviously and markedly an improvement over every type of earphones or earbuds I've ever... Read full review »
A good listen.
I bought these to replace a pair of Sony buds that I fell to sleep wearing and broke the wire. I am really impressed with the sound quality. The bass is rich and deep the treble is crisp and sharp and the mid-range is smooth and clear. So far I have not listened to anything with them that has not... Read full review »
For the money....whatever!!!
I bought these phones pretty much to just try 'em out. They did sound good and are a major improvement over any other Sony canal phones I've used but the fit is just about the same. In other words, they not ever close to Shure, Ety or UE with regards to isolation. And for the money you can get a... Read full review »
Save your Money$$$$
These ear buds are not worth the money, I have the Sony 51, 71 and 81's and they are wonderful, but for twice the price - they are not worth the investment. They claim that the bass is much stronger, not the case. I tested these with my older Sony's and could not tell any difference. Yes, I have... Read full review »
Driver size does matter!
You get what you pay for usually.
Well I'm thoroughly impressed.
Everything is first class.
Looks don't make sound, but in this case looks just enhance the best ear buds I have ever heard. Really!
I thought I would give these a try, so I purchased at the Sony Style store...
