Not real happy
The remotes (black w/red buttons) on my 2 RCA DirectTV boxes intermittently forget how to "talk" to my TVs, thus time for replacement. I purchased a small RCA remote ($6) for one of the Direct boxes but decided to get a "full function" remote for the other box.

Satisfied
I finally got sick of using three remotes just to watch movies on my DVD player. One to turn on the Samsung DVD, one to turn on the AIWA mini-stereo, and one to turn on the Sony TV.

Great remote with Sony receiver
Very good remote. Very comfortable to use. Buttons are large enough for husband with large fingers. I did have problems in the beginning with this remote not working with my Sony receiver, but one phone call to the Sony help line fixed it. Sony told me what to change on my receiver and it works... Don't Buy This Remote For Sony Home Theater Systems
I bought this remote for the purpose to control my SONY receiver but guess what. IT DONT WORK ON SONY RECEIVERS!! (What it is a Sony remote) What the hell this dont add up. Might work on some products?
As the other reviewer noted, there are not enough menu features for digital cable. Also, I have a home Sony mini-stereo and the remote would only control the power and volume on it! It looked like it should control all the features of my mini-stereo and it wouldn't work. Read full review »
Do not buy this remote if you use a Scientific Atlanta 2100 cable box
After a torturous episode with Sony's customer service rep, I was informed that this remote cannot access all of the features of the SA2100 explorer. Basically you can turn the box on/off, change channels and increase the volume.
