40 Hours in Line, and Worth Every Minute
Getting One is Half the Fun
As a rule, people hate to wait in line for anything. If we have to wait ten minutes in line at the bank, it's a major hardship. Fifteen minutes for a cashier at the supermarket, and we're livid. Yet, there we were, waiting for over 40 hours at the local...

The Sexiest Console This Side of the Rio Grande: The 80GB Playstation 3
The latest console offering from those crazy mountainfolk at Sony is everything you might expect from the people that brought you such classics as the Playstation and the Playstation 2. It's shiny, it's black, and it's packed to the gills with masturbatory features that have virtually nothing to do... Read full review »
I love my Sony PlayStation 3 Bundle with Metal Gear Solid 4!
My birthday isn't until next month, but my wife surprised me with an early birthday present when she told me that she'd ordered the Sony PlayStation 3 80 GB Bundle with Metal Gear Solid 4. I knew they were very hard to find, but she somehow managed to get one off Circuit City's website, of all... Read full review »
A phenomenal console.
the ps3 is has definitely surpassed the Wii and 360 in the console wars. I hope this review convinces you to buy one.Graphics: The graphics on this machine are stunning. If you are playing on a standard def tv, the graphics look high def. if you are playing on a high def tv, it is hard to tell them... Read full review »
The "Apple" of the consoles
So why did I choose the Sony Playstation 3?
Although the most expensive, it offered by far the best value. Wii doesn't offer HD graphics. I have a large HD plasma screen and couldn't bear the low-res graphics.
XBOX 360 - has had a spate of hardware failures recently (microsoft has...

Why PS3 won me over Xbox 360
Let me start off saying that I have not been a gamer since I was about 15. I am now 29, and the PS3 has definatly got me back into the scene!
We have a Nintendo Game Cube and PS2 for my kids, but I have never played them for more than a half hour a month. I was not in the market for a new...

Sony playstation 3
Sony playstation has been around for quit a number of years. First their was the regular play station, then the playstation 2, and the psp. Now there is the Playstation 3! This is a amazing system. The PS3 is in competition with the new Xbox 360, but I have to say the PS3 blows the Xbox away. With... Read full review »
underwhelmed, but it'll stay around my house
I got a PS3 console (after having used a PS2 very happily for ages) as a "self-serve Christmas present," since I was visiting my parents in a location at which there was a Sony outlet store and they had the 40 and 80 GB models on sale at respectable (but not magnificent) prices. I also bought... Read full review »
More ups than downs; barely
While the PS3 is a great machine overall, I cannot recommend it if you plan on replacing your PS2 with it. I only had Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 games, but I planned on playing that until the release of Gran Turismo 5. Other than the lack of compatibility, its other con is the price. Being $450 for the... Why I got a second PS3
If you want to read some excellent reviews, read about all the different models of Playstation 3. They are all pretty much the same with the following differences:
This and the 160 Gig Uncharted bundle are the new models and pretty much what you will find in stores.
Different sized...

PlayStation 3 80GB MotorStorm Bundle
The new Playstation 3 98004 has an 80GB hard drive for over 30% more download storage space than the 60GB model. PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system unleashes a brilliant, high-definition entertainment experience. As its digital soul, the Cell Broadband Engine represents a tour de force in parallel processing, which means a gaming experience that is beyond what you know today. Its built-in Blu-ray Disc drive delivers a whole new generation in high-definition gaming and unmatched digital media storage. Whether it's gaming, Blu-ray movies, music or online services, PLAYSTATION3 invites you to Play Beyond. As DVD playback made the PlayStation 2 more than just a game machine, hefty multi-media features make the Sony PlayStation 3 an even more versatile home entertainment machine. Features such as video chat, internet access, digital photo viewing, and digital audio and video will likely make it the central component of your media set-up. Still, it is first and foremost a game console--a powerful one at that. Under the Hood The PS3 features IBM's "Cell" processor and a co-developed Nvidia graphics processor that makes the system able to perform two trillion calculations per second. That's approximately 320 times more calculations per second than the PS2. Along with the traditional AV and composite connections, it also boasts an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TV and projectors. The system is capable of 128-bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution for a full HD experience.
