Pros One of the thinnest rear projection TV on the market!
Cons Overpriced and the buttons are too small on the remote!
Recommended it? Yes

The Sony KF-60XBR800 is a 60 inch screen size TV in the 16:9 Wide Screen aspect ratio. For a rear projection TV they offer one of the thinnest big screen TV that I have ever seen. The TV is only 21 3/8 inch deep with a height of 43 ? inches and a width of 63 ? inches. It is a heavy unit weighing... Read full review »

Pros HD programming is very good on this set. That's it. Not worth the money.
Cons Directv unclear even after calibration. Dead pixels that Sony will not repair.
Recommended it? No

I just had a kf60xbr800 shipped to me by TVS-R-US a/k/a Best Buy Electronics in Pennsylvania. The TV arrived broken with the interior mirror shattered. I'm in the process of getting it returned and would never buy this TV. Yes the HD is very good but the regular Directv channels are terrible on... Read full review »

Some weeks ago I wrote here my initial impressions of the 60XBR800 Wega I purchased. And while I certainly stand by everything I have said here, I have returned the TV because I could not live with the black levels. I am VERY critical when it comes to my movie watching. And while the GW is great on... Read full review »

I currently own a Sony 36" 4:3 XBR250 tube-based TV that wows everyone who sees it. But the allure of widescreen and HDTV has been calling me now for at least two years. So while in Tweeter a couple of weeks ago for a cable, I noticed that the latest RPTV's looked much better than I recalled and... Read full review »

HDTV's are a complicated piece of consumer equipment, and I considered a large set of factors in my purchase. I apologize for the meandering tone of this review, but I feel it's neccessary to explain how I ended up where I am.

Short review:

This is the best tv's out there. It's... Read full review »

My KF-60XBR800 is perfect for playback viewing of DVD's and for reception of HDTV broadcasts. Regular OTA TV is not very good looking on a set this large, which is to be expected. I do wish that Sony had chosen to include a HD tuner for the $5000 price tag, but becasue it doesn't expect to shell... Read full review »
