Pros Great sound with commercial free stations.
Cons The price, limit of only 5 preset favorite channels.
Recommended it? Yes

Sony offers the DRN-XM01 XM Satellite Radio Receiver in a home version with the letter "H" (DRN-XM01H) at the end of the product number and a car or cassette version with the letter "C" (DRN-XM01C) at the end of the product number.

Pros Lots of listening choices. Good looking "head" unit. Excellent sound quality.
Cons Expensive! Only five "presets."

I really enjoy this sleek unit. It is very easy to use. I elected to have the antenna professionally installed in my truck. They made a great product. Fairly easy to use. I use the cassette option. It provided a better sound (to me) than the FM modulator.

Pros You can swap unit between car and home, and the handy "memo" button remembers...
Cons Noisy fan, hard-to-use rotary dial, awkward to mount, and unit hangs.
Recommended it? No

While I am going to give the DRN-XM01 a below-average review, I must say that I have been ecstatic over my XM radio - it's a great concept, a great music service, and the DRN-XM01 has been part of the technology that contributed to my enjoyment.

Pros easy install, friendly cust service, and portable
Cons lots of exposed wires that hang from the dash after install

just wanted to say short and simple that i love my sony xm radio, purchaced at sears for $30 in there clearance dept.
