Pros The pictures are great when retrievable
Cons The flash or memory sticks randomly become corrupted rendering the pictures irretrievable
Recommended it? No

Maybe its just my camera, but after about a year of owning it, it started corrupting the files on the memory sticks. We replaced the memory sticks and reformatted the old ones thinking that was the culprit but every reformatted and new memory stick would randomly have a problem reading the data, so... Pros Very fast recycle, no shutter lag, good video, good battery life, great zoom.
Cons Terrible low-light and flash performance. Anything above ISO80 unacceptably noisy...
Recommended it? No

I bought this camera from Wolf Camera for a song when my local store went out of business. I wish I had waited and gotten the Canon that I really wanted. I'm very disappointed with the DSC-H50. It quite simply takes terrible pictures in anything but ideal conditions. The flash is useless for... Read full review »

I can't seem to keep up with technology. I had a Kodak 3 mp that was 400.00 and almost the top of the line at the time I bought it. Then months later the same camera is on sale for 300.00 and they now have 5mp out. So I decided it was time to upgrade and after a very long time searching the... Read full review »

My last camera was a little Canon Powershot S110 which I bought about 10 years ago. Now, two months after buying it, the Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 continues to amaze me. The point and click shots look wonderful. Movie mode looks great, just don't forget to use the "high" setting. Night setting is a... Read full review »

Pros Flash is self guided, so it identifies the low light and opens automatically.
Cons Bulky. Advanced Sports shooting only clicks in the day time or bright light
Recommended it? Yes

The best part you find about this is the ease with which you can click through the Auto mode, or go into the selective modes like Easy Shooting, portrait, Movie Mode, High Sensitivity, Auto Smile, landscape, Scene Selection.
-       Excellent zoom in function
-       9.1 megapixel

I owned an Olympus FE-100 that I bought over three years ago and that gave me problems from the start.  I finally had to accept the fact that it needed to be trashed.  I began the search for another point and shoot to supplement my Sony A350 DSLR that I bought last April.  Even though I am not a... After owning a 3 megapixel Olympus digital camera with a 3x optical zoom, this Sony 15x optical zoom camera was better than I thought it would be. I read several reviews and felt this was the best camera for my needs and it has proven to to be the case. I found some reviews that said it took too... Read full review »
