Died shortly after arrival
I managed to load about 100 songs onto my Nitrus 1.5GB and then it stopped recognizing my computer. It said "USB Connected" and "Initializing" and that is as far as it got. The Rio Nitrus Is the Best Windows-Based MP3 Player on the Market
This player has not garnered much attention in the media, but it is truly an astonishing product. Very small footprint, about the size of a credit card (but thicker), has outstanding software and is designed with excellent controls. Powerful, clear sound. Highly recommended. I love mine 100%!

16 month test drive
I have had a Rio Nitrus for 16 months. I am happy with the software, the form and function. It holds enough music for me. I recently had to unload something to have room for GodSpell. Best 3 months I ever had!
I bought two players for about $120 each, one to give to someone else. I found it easy to use and the sound was good. The problem came about 3mos later when it started freezing up. horrible mistake..
my family and I purchased 2 Rio Nitruses for $150 each. They both broke within four months of buying them. I definitely do not recommend this product to anyone because of its short lifespan and horrible warranty. Read full review »

Nice MP3 Player, but battery won't hold a charge
The Nitrus would be a nice value for the money if it wasn't for the fact that the battery will not hold a charge. The battery on the Nitrus is an integrated, non removable type.
