Best Sounding, Best Looking, Most Expensive Earphones Ever!
Let me first start off by saying that I am not the type of person that would normally pay $300 for a set of headphones. As it turned out I had a large store credit burning a hole in my pocket, so I ended up paying $269 for these babies at Ultimate Electronics. All I can say is that these are... Read full review »
Best ear buds I've owned
I once heard something on a commercial that really sticks in my mind: "You'll remember the quality long after forgetting about the price". Yes, I saved the $299 and it hurt spending it on these my Shure e4c's, but they're well worth it. I chose not to save money by buying online because I wanted to... Read full review »
Good mids and highs, but weak bass
I bought a pair of Shure E4c's in 2005 for use mainly with my i-Pod. I was taking a trip to Japan that fall, and I wanted to have a quality pair of earphones for the long flight over and back. I already owned a pair of Shure E3c's, which I felt performed decently. But, I was disappointed when I... Read full review »
Best Headphones I've ever had
I workout 5-6x a week and It's very important to me to have a good set of headphones to get my pumped up.
-I tried the sennheisers cx300 and I really enjoyed the sound but they were very uncomfortable in my ears.
-Ipod headphones are just horrile, I also use sony over the ear $10...

Shure Products are Horrible Horrible Quality
I wrote a review about the E3c model, how they broke all the time; how I had to send them back to Shure 5 times for repair.
This final time, the 5th time I sent them back; Shure sent me an upgraded pair of E4cs. Garbage, just garbage. They broke already - sound went. I used them for less...

As Good As It Gets
After going through exhaustive research and use of just about every top flight "In Ear Monitor" type of stereo headphone setup I tried one of the Shure E4C's as a last ditch effort before I literally gave up on hopes of finding the "holy grail" of in ear monitors. Allow me to preface my opinions... Read full review »
Excellent Headphones
The E4's are the best anywhere in terms of clarity and cannot be beat. You can try them all and I think they are right on top. The only weakness, improved bass over the E3's, but still needs a little work. Yes, you can set your equalizer and all that, but you should not have to on $300 phones. Read full review »
Not worth the money
i bought a pair of e4cs about 8 months ago-paid top dollar for it. in about 6 months, the insulation on the cable wore out, and at this point in time, i dont have sound in one ear. makes me wonder if paying this kinda money is worth it, despite the "superb" sound... Read full review »
This much money...for what?
Ok, so I really tried to like these. The highs are exceptional and mids are not bad, but when it comes to bass, this is where the trouble starts. In the manual they state that you have to get a "good seal" with the ear canal to get a good bass response. That basically means you have to shove the... Read full review »
Like a candy shop for the ears
I prefer in ear headphones as opposed to clunky over hear headphones for many reasons. As a commuter I like to block out the sounds of others and keep my sound in. I like to fall asleep sometimes as well without making the weight of my head any heavier.
All that being said, I replaced my...

Shure E4c Sound Isolating Earphones
Digital edge technologies used for creating, transferring, and listening to digital music has made the iPod and various other Digital Media Players the most popular portable listening devices around the world. Shure recognized that at the start. Highly demanding and critical listeners have appreciated Shure earphones. Shure's E4c extends that enjoyment even further. The cutting-edge industrial design of the E4c is a breakthrough in sound isolating earphone technology. Ideal for the business traveler and on-the-go audiophile, the High-Definition Driver with Tuned Port Technology delivers brilliant highs and extended bass that enhance your listening experience with your portable DVD, MP3 and CD players as well as all other audio sources. The E4c's in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes-even in loud environments. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don't require batteries. 60 inch cable length 3.5 mm (1/8) gold-plated stereo plug Although the E4c comes with an assortment of sleeves to ensure a comfortable fit, some users may want something even more personalized. In this case, we recommend contacting a hearing professional, such as an audiologist, to make custom-fit ear molds for your E4c Color - WHITE
