Pros Beautiful sound output. Comfortable. Awesome storage case.
Cons Price.
Recommended it? Yes

Introduction:
Being an audiophile has many pluses along with a few minuses. Among the plusss is knowing your way around any music store and the innate ability to pick out good, unknown music. Another plus is having lots of music to listen to. One of the minuses is finding someone who shares... Read full review »

Pros sound isolating is great, sound is great
Cons sound quality not much better than $70 headphones I've had before
Recommended it? Yes

I think I can accurately put myself in the category in between an audiophile and an average iPod-earbud wearing dude. I guess you could say I'm in the willing-to-spend-$40-$80-on-headphones category. But I've always wanted to try some really expensive headphones, and so here I am with the Shure... Read full review »

Great sound and noise cancellation

Pros Very compact size, great sound, very comfortable, good bass.
Cons Triple-flange sleeves should be included.
Recommended it? Yes

I originally purchased the E2C as a replacement to my Sony EX51. While the sound was noticeably better, after 2 weeks, I just couldn't find an acceptable level of comfort with them. I also wasn't able to find a set of sleeves that would stay put for more than 30 mins. I returned the E2Cs in favor... Read full review »

Pros Sound Great!
Cons Odd fitting and pricey
Recommended it? Yes

Never a fan of traditional earbuds, both on the issue of sound and comfort, the first thing I did when I bought my original iPod was search out a comfortable, but decent sounding pair of headphones. After much trial and error I decided on the Sony EX51LP headphones. I found them quite comfortable,... Read full review »

Cons A little pricey for some!

My dilemna

I've always struggled with cheaply made headsets (from the ones included with my iPod to several others I've bought in my search for the best mix of comfort and performance).

When jogging or walking, the iPod standard buds don't stay in my ears so I tried two... Read full review »

Pros Bass, Mids, Design, Warranty, Durability, Foam sleeves
Cons Treble is a little exaggerated, but still good, hard flex sleeves are uncomfortable,
Recommended it? Yes

Well I'm sitting here listening to my 30gb iPod after I found the Shure e3c's I ordered right next to the front door. I immediately opened them and put them into my ears. It didn't fit and I forgot that I needed to find the right fit, too anxious.

The Shures come with many... Read full review »

Shure E3C, studio quality sound to go anywhere

byjlc2005 Jan 25, 2006

Pros Great sound, small size, tough design and isolate outside noise
Cons Price, fit can be tricky until used to it.
Recommended it? Yes

The Shure E3C headphone/ear buds are a major advance in portable sound. Designed for professionals, these are not the wimpy ear buds which are supplied with most audio devices. The cables are substantial and tough and the sound quality is incredible. These tiny speakers literally hide inside the... Read full review »

Pros Good sound quality, good comfort, long cord, many options for each pieces.
Cons They break all the time!
Recommended it? No

I must say, when I first got these earphones, I was very pleased. However, over the passed 3 years, I have returned them 5 times for repair! They keep breaking! Several colleagues and friends as well have experienced the poor quality of manufacturing.

The sound is great, they fit nice,... Read full review »

Pros Crystal clear sound. Love how the wrap around your ear to stay in place
Cons Take quite a while to (for me) to get it right!
Recommended it? Yes

My cousin had a pair and told me the price and I couldn't believe it. (quite expensive) I had to get a pair. He had the E5 So I just read the reviews and bought me E3's. I have an Iriver IHP-120 20 gig Jukebox. The earphones that came with it I thought were great. I got the E3 and my gosh,... Read full review »

Good, But There's One Canalphone That Sounds Just As Good

byaudio-freak Feb 23, 2007
7 Helpfuls 8 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Good Sound, Small, Comfy, Loud
Cons There Is No Big Improvement Over The E2C To Spend Another $80
Recommended it? No

These E3c canalphones give you the best of both words, small and sound. They are small enough to put in your pocket yet have big enough sound to blow you away. These E3C's do that, with a decent bass response, good mids, and good treble without brightness. Though, I do think they sound to much like... Read full review »
